Ugly Duckling takes its inspiration from the intersection between Coastal BC's magical landscapes and the rich cultural heritage of North America’s oldest Chinatown. Tasting Menu
Plusieurs dates disponibles
Our tasting menu is an individualistic, seasonally-driven experience celebrating Vancouver Island and paying homage to our Chinatown home. The menu is constantly evolving --dictated by the seasons, the farmers, and the whims of the culinary team. While most dietary restrictions can be accommodated, due to the intimate nature of our kitchen, we are unable to fulfill requests for sesame, soy, or finfish allergies. For all other dietary restrictions, we request 48-hours advance notice so that we can prepare to welcome you. The tasting menu is 6-plus courses, priced at $112, and we encourage guests to set aside two-and-a-half hours to fully enjoy the experience.

We enjoyed a lovely peaceful joyous meal here. We left happy and satisfied. The wine parings were perfect too.

We had a magical night with their amazing vegan tasting menu. It was the perfect Valentine’s Day and we will be back when we want a treat for sure!

Dinner was absolutely amazing. We went for Dine Around and it was the best out of all we did. Already made a reservation for our next dinner.

Enjoyed everything about our dinner. The food was great and service as well. Complimented the chef on the duck breast and they brought me another portion!

It would be better if we had options to order extra food. The appetizer I had was the pork belly, the noodle had too much sauce, so it was too salty. My main course was cold.

Special thanks to the chef who presented our meal. Our server was lovely and did a great job of describing the wine pairings. The beef carpaccio was extraordinary.
