Originated from the famed Uchi restaurant in Austin, founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole, Uchiko specializes in robust flavors infused with smoke and hints of char balanced with the fresh and clean profile that is the hallmark of its sister concept Uchi. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Happy Hour is offered everyday from 4:00 - 6:00 and on Sunday - Wednesday from 4pm - 10pm at the bar only. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

The service and drinks were awesome. We had majority vegetarians. The sushi rice seemed old. It wasn’t sticking and the favorite dish kinoko didn’t taste as it always does. The dessert was good. We are HUGE fans of Uchi and came to Uchiko because it was closer. The non vegetarian was very happy. But same complaint of the rice. Our server was amazing.

Since changing their menu they have reduced the number of vegetarian items available especially for those that don’t eat eggs. Our server was fantastic but the food was subpar.

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Uchiko Houston is it! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server, Eric, was nothing short of amazing—his menu recommendations and attention to detail made our night even more special. He introduced us to the new spiced cake dessert, and it was absolutely phenomenal (we ate it too quickly to snap a photo!). We can't wait to come back. Uchiko never disappoints!

This has got to be one of the best vegan/Vegetarian restaurants I have been to. Everyone and everything was top notch!

New favorite sushi spot in Houston! We were a group of 6, so we were able to sample a wide variety of dishes and everything was delicious. The decor and ambiance was lovely, the cocktails and filtered sake were tasty, the service was friendly, and the price was surprisingly great for the value.

Great meal - highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts, Hama Chili, Shima Aji, and Kurodai! The staff were amazing, offering valuable insights at every stage of the meal!
