Chef Tyson Cole, vainqueur de la James Beard Foundation Award 2011 pour le meilleur chef Southwest - Merci à la famille Uchi et Uchiko et aux amis pour votre soutien! Uchiko, du japonais et voulant dire «enfant de Uchi", est le prochain projet de restaurant du célèbre chef executive et sushi master Tyson Cole. Situé dans le centre de Austin, ce second emplacement de Cole très convoité, Uchi présente la même excellence et ambiance énergique que l'original avec quelques ajouts notables. Uchiko mettra en vedette un nouveau menu avec le même style de cuisine fraîche et innovante que Uchi, une salle principale qui accepte les réservations tout au long de la soirée et un bar /café où il est possible de manger.

Our experienced wait staff picked our menu and was spot on. Everything was amazing. Never disappointed with Uchiko!

Overall a good experience. A few of the dishes were one note and took longer than I'd like but I'd still gladly go back. The banana cake was a showstopper.

We had a reservation for two at 10.15 2/15. We did put a note to contact us for an earlier reservation. We got a text to call for earlier reservation. We got a 9 pm reservation. When we arrived there was no table not an estimation when the table would be available . We were standing up for one hour. We had to speak to the manager after 1 h waiting to sit us down . He offered us 6 sushi pieces for free. But the issue was the scheduling. The girl at the front was looking if some table customers were up to leave but this was not the right thing to do. She had to ask the waitress to find out what table asked for the check. This lady cannot stay at this position. We never had an issue in Uchi and Uchiko and we are customers for many years.

Amazing experience! Everything was incredible, I am still dreaming about their desserts. Will be recommending this place to everyone! Can’t wait to be back.

I’ve been coming to Uchiko for years. This night was the first off night I’ve ever experienced. I hate even writing this review :( took almost 30 minutes to get seated past reservation time. Food took awhile to come out. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours. It was baffling. Staff was apologetic and accommodating but idk what was going on.
