Uchi, "house" in Japanese, is founded by James Beard Award‑winning Chef Tyson Cole. Uchi offers non‑traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and a seasonal omakase. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Great experience overall. Service was very good and food was really delicious. I took some points off in the ambiance category for two reasons : 1) tables are dark. A little candle or light at the table would be a nice touch. 2) the restaurant design is very nice but to reach the level above please clean the ventilation vents on your ceiling.. tacky.

I have been to the Uchi in Austin and Dallas and had high expectations. The food was just OK.It didn’t have the wow factor I experienced in the other locations.

This was our second visit and again did not disappoint. We sit at the sushi bar and enjoy ordering from the chef’s. Hope we have chef M again-knowledgeable and fun personality. The creative menu along with the freshest fish is a recipe for success. Wine list is impressive-thank you for opening in California!!! Austin is fantastic too.

Really delicious and creative. Had both hot and cold dishes and both fish and meat. Loved it all. Asked for server to help pick dishes and she chose a wonderful balance it tastes and textures.

Amazing server Jenny who is a great curator of your dining journey. We are not sure we would not have enjoyed it as much had she not been our server

The service was amazing! The food was ok. So much time was taken to make “interesting/unusual or unique ” flavor combinations— and more time should have been taken to being sure the food tasted good. The entire time I wished I had gone to sugar fish — Everything was ok and assume based on the price that the quality of the fish was better… but after it’s covered in strawberries… who can tell.

We have been to another Uchi location before and we remember it being amazing so we were very excited to try this location. The service was exceptional other than a cocktail that was ordered when we sat down and did not get there for a while but no big deal. All the sushi dishes were pretty good except for the salmon sashimi which had a fishy taste and actually made my girlfriend sick. Underwhelming meal for the price considering there are better sushi restaurants in Los Angeles. I do not mind paying a premium for good food but the price did not match the quality and the flavors were just average. Sad to say we most likely will not eat here again.
