Uchi, "house" in Japanese, is founded by James Beard Award‑winning Chef Tyson Cole. Uchi offers non‑traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and a seasonal omakase. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

We had had the pleasure of being served by Alex, who truly elevated our entire experience from start to finish. From the moment we sat down, Alex immediately made us feel both welcome and well-cared-for. He was attentive without hovering, ensuring our glasses never went empty and that each course arrived at just the right time. His deep knowledge of the menu—particularly the newer items—and his thoughtful recommendations spoke to both his expertise and genuine enthusiasm for Uchi. What truly set Alex apart was his warm, personable approach. He takes the time to learn our preferences, patiently answered our questions, and effortlessly guided us toward dishes we absolutely loved. His suggestions were spot-on every time. We left Uchi feeling not only satisfied by the superb food but also immensely grateful for Alex’s impeccable service. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and we can’t wait to visit again and sit in his section.

Had gone earlier in the week with friends and went back with hubs and more friends. The food was equally delectable as the first time. For to try some of the vegetarian dishes and they were delicious. Service was poor. Our dishes took forever to come out, dishes were lost. Food took 40 minutes to come out. The server was apologetic and said the kitchen gel was running behind.

Food was good. Service from waitress was good. Kitchen took about 40-50 minutes per round of sushi we ordered . Had to cancel dessert because we waited over 50 minutes for some fried milk balls . Overall food was good just make sure your a slow eater and got 3-4 hours to wait around for food

This is my 5th or 6th time at your restaurant…, food, ambience and server (Rebecca) was wonderful just overworked because your kitchen can’t get the sushi/food out fast enough. With a 815 reservation and not having 3/4 of my food served within an hour and a half seems a little ridiculous. I want to keep coming to a restaurant. Please try the kitchen service together!!!!!

Underwhelming. Omakase experience was a decent amount of cooked options -- friend chicken etc -- wasn't a higher end nigiri type place.

Had an incredible experience at Uchi West Hollywood. The space is beautifully designed and every dish we got was delicious! And the cherry on top was the amazing service!

The $350 omakase for 2 was yummy but not really a 10-course omakase. We needed to order several more courses to round it out, and then they delivered a kobe beef roll course that they’d forgotten to give us during the omakase! There is no list of what the Omakasa included, so we didn’t know that was coming until they delivered it. The dessert course was fantastic. We each had one cocktail and one small bottle of sake, plus Omakase and the extra stuff and tip it all came out to $600. Pretty pricey for two people, but the food is yummy and well presented, the setting is gorgeous and vibrant. Service was OK.
