Uchi, "home" in Japanese, is founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole. A delicate balance of elevated food and impeccable service, Uchi offers non-traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and seasonal omakase. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

We had the best experience sitting at the sushi bar. The chefs were very informative and gave great recommendations. The wait staff also was amazing. Our water glasses were never empty and the dishes were removed promptly. I cannot wait to return!!

My daughter and I have been wanting to try Uchi for awhile but our schedules prevented it. Oh my gosh, what a truly pleasant surprise. The ambiance, service, and entire upbeat staff made our dining experience a true "5". The food combos are so creative and tasty and the fish is the freshest that I have ever had at a sushi/ Japanese restaurant. We can not wait to return for another amazing food experience. It is really nice to go to a restaurant and not walk out feeling somewhat cheated by the food or the price or the service. Well done!

We were in from out of town and decided to try Uchi for a nice dinner out. They did not disappoint, our waiter was excellent and very educated on the menu! We let him guide us through our choices for dinner and there was not one item we did not enjoy. If you are in Scottsdale, do not miss an opportunity to go here! We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic- it’s amazing how every server who delivered the food or drinks were knowledgeable and friendly. Our server was phenomenal- just a pleasure to meet people who enjoy what they do and absolutely know what customer service should be. And of course the food was delicious and exquisite- that’s the only way I can describe it. They were mindful of my daughter’s allergies in a way few high-end restaurants manage. The ambience is an architect’s wonder - really enjoyed the space and design- a great representation of the chefs vision, in design. We are going to be regulars here but I know it will be hard getting reservations. Great addition to our neighborhood!

Superb on every level. Food flavors and creativity are inspiring! The staff is exquisitely well-trained and knowledgeable. Each item is coursed perfectly, and the servers describe and identify all the components and nuance of every dish.

The service was fantastic. The drinks were refreshing. The food - I will dream about. Loved the Brussels, tuna, yellowtail and banana dessert.

We always have a great experience here. The food is absolutely amazing every time. We Love all of the fish and although I’m not a beef eater I tried the wagu beef and it melted in my mouth. Try the salad wrap and the fried chicken too. It is crazy good! The mixed drinks are top notch.

The sushi was definitely really good. I have to be honest, It was kind of funny when they seemed hesitant to bring out soy sauce. I guess I’m not accustomed to this high-quality lol. We started out with drinks at the bar where service was quick and the drinks were good. We were sat on time but it took probably 15 minutes to have our server come over. The food also took a long time to come out. but our waitress was really nice. I would definitely come back.
