    Join us at TWO Urban Licks as we partner with Gastro Garage to bring Atlantans an experimental dining pop-up, featuring a visually captivating, torched, and nitrous-infused culinary concept, as a lead-up to TWO’s 20th anniversary in October. Since launching in 2014, the mechanics have been torching culinary experiences with pop-ups and events from L.A. to Abu Dhabi. Known for deconstructing classic dishes and reconstructing them into signature “Gastro Tanks", Gastro Garage is not only a tasteful culinary experience but also visually invigorating.     The food wasn't up to par. The chicken skins appetizer tasted very gamey to me, and the popcorn-like shrimp appetizer was just fair and very underwhelming. I ordered the duck dish for main course, which I liked, but the side of macaroni and cheese I ordered came to me lukewarm and didn't taste fresh. The top was crusty and hard, and underneath was a custard-like texture instead of one that's supposed to be smooth and warm. So, I swapped out the macaroni and cheese for another one, but unfortunately, the second one was just as cold as the first. At that point, It became obvios to me that the mac and cheeses had been laying out for a long time under a heat lamp or similar. My friend ordered seared scallops, and said they were standard. Nothing special. I don't think I'll be going or sending people back to this restaurant anytime soon.

    Carlos was our server. He is PHENOMENAL. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. He served my friends and I back in November of 2023 and because we paid by QR code on the table, I had no record of what his name was to request him again. The last few times we didn’t have him as a server. By chance, my husband and I had him at this visit, and I’m so happy to know his name so we can request him when we go back. He’s the best!!! The salmon chips are a must to start. My husband had the steak & eggs with collards and I had the avocado toast with crab and a side of Gouda grits. Fabulous and delicious. The Gouda grits are probably the best grits I have ever had. I’ve had the brisket in the past, and it is out of this world. The only issue is, it is VERY LOUD and it can be difficult to hear and you have to talk very loud. We will absolutely go again - ASK FOR CARLOS!

    Overall it was a good experience.. It had the Ambiance that we were looking for and we were pleased with that. Server was good but we didn’t feel heard when we told him I was pregnant and that I wanted my ribeye cooked medium/medium well and towards the middle of my meal, realized that it was definitely undercooked. It was much more medium rare than medium/medium well. We were also slightly disappointed with the valet service, yes it was drizzling and he was alone but he mentioned to my husband that he works solely on tips and we did give him a tip. Just thought it was a little rude.

    I celebrated my birthday at 2 Urban licks on September 10, 2024, and my parents cane with me. We had a great time. This is our second time eating at this establishment. There was a delay with our food because there were two large parties there however management came over before we even noticed that there was a wait and offered us complimentary appetizers and I received a slice of cake for my bday. The service was amazing. The staff were friendly and I would highly recommend this place.

    Weekday business dinner with 6 colleagues. Enjoyed a perfect evening on the patio. Food was fantastic as always. We enjoyed the brisket (I’m a Texan and always skeptical of brisket made outside of the former Republic). It’s an inch thick which is raises that skepticism to a Northern state latitude. However, it’s tender and cooked through. The bark and meat flavor is delicious. Highly recommend. The trout was perfect as well. Love the mustardy sauce and the whole fried okra. Cannot fail with the scallops. The staff was attentive, professional, and kind. I could say more but I think I’ve said enough.
