In July 2008, Twigs Tavern and Grille opened to bring fresh flavors in a relaxing atmosphere to Rochester, Minnesota. Featuring Rochester's only restaurant with a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and a diverse menu of small plates, entrées, and the Hot Rock, our dishes feature an innovative mix of cultural flavors from around the world and fresh ingredients. In addition to our lunch and dinner menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrées, our restaurant offers one of the most extensive gluten-free menus in Rochester. Excellent menu choices, our meals were outstanding, the waitstaff was friendly, prompt, and efficient! The gluten free options (prepared in a separate designated kitchen) are appreciated! Twig’s is special! We look forward to visiting the next time we’re in Rochester.

Our server was very attentive and patient as we waiting for all of the members of our party, all from different cities, to arrive for a reunion of college friends. We appreciated the beautiful setting on the patio to relax, enjoy a delicious lunch, and catch up with one another. Thank you!

Our go to every time we visit Rochester. There is an amazing amount of gluten free menu options. The food has always been excellent and the servers are pleasant and attentive. I wish we had a restaurant like this where we live.

Disappointed in tonight’s experience, there was a lot of issues. Starting, we had a reservation at 8pm but the guy at the host stand was putting in receipts into the computer so we did not get any help till 8:05, 5 mins is not a big deal but is does give merit to the to the other reviews that have been posted about terrible service at the host stand. When we got seated the server would tell us that she could do this for us then come back and then say she could not bc of policy, no problem just be consistent and train your staff to know the policies to avoid disappointing, your customers, and confusion. I wish I could tell you her name but she never told us so she will be know server. Server did not know anything about the menu and when we asked questions she would give us wrong answers and then take it back the next time she came by. Again training is important and could resolve most of these problems. When our risotto poppers came out, the server asked if we needed serving plates to eat. I said yes, and then waited 15 min for our food to get cold before I got up and looked for someone to ask. I ended up going to the bar and with only three people sitting at the bar the bartender was unable to even look at me and ask me what I needed as the only new person walking up to the bar. Not her problem, but it could’ve resolved many issues faster. I ended up walking up to Tara* the manager on duty. I did let her know that we had been having issues and that I needed some serving plates. She was very prompt and grabbed the serving plates and came to our table. She wanted to listen and hear what problems we had been having. She even remade the risotto poppers for us so that they would be hot and got us water as we had been waiting for 10 mins for water to be brought over. Unfortunately, our food came out at the exact same time as the poppers so we were unable to truly enjoy the meal as It should’ve been served. Atmosphere in the area is dated and attached to a hotel and I feel

I am SHOCKED at all the 5 star reviews!!! This food is NOT quality at all. One person only took two bites of her entire meal. That bad. The service struggled and the ambiance was decent. The marketing team did a hell of a job with pictures of this place. They definitely failed to mention it’s attached to a no-name budget hotel, which I feel like sums up the whole experience, unfortunately. We fell for it this time and will defiantly not return.

Twigs never disappoints! We live in another city but look forward to trips to Rochester knowing we can dine at Twigs. Their ribs beat any ribs anywhere! Their Parmesan crisps appetizer, pear salad & chicken & wild rice soup ate all outstanding. Dining outside by their babbling brook in September can’t be beat!!
