This is the best food for miles around. Jamie is a culinary genius and his cunning combinations and brilliant execution never fail to delight. Front of house staff are well briefed, discreet and efficient but, like so many other hospitality venues, finding and keeping high quality staff is extremely difficult. We so much look forward to Twenty Seven reopening in December.

An excellent dining experience. The food was superb. The local menu represented outstanding value for money. The restaurant was extremely busy. Whilst the service was a little slow, this was understandable, and all of the staff were very professional and friendly. Many thanks. We are so sorry that we understand the restaurant will be closing gnow until December, but we look forward to revisiting then.

Thank you Jamie & Claire, we had a delicious 3 course set menu last Wednesday. It was an early evening booking but by the end of the evening the upstairs was busy with people and Claire was super attentive to everyone’s needs. The food was delicious and was beautifully presented and Claire has such a welcoming and warm manner she made us feel completely relaxed. Many thanks to all the staff. Debbie

Just the best, offering locals the opportunity to enjoy fine dining and wonderful friendly service. The food is exceptional, we very much enjoyed our French onion soup, pork belly, risotto and the creme brûlée, all dishes were amazing and memorable. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Incredible food and great value for money. Polite and personal service, nice little touches too like a hand-written birthday card! 100% recommend, some of the best food we’ve had!

We opted for the 5 course taster menu and added one additional scallop course, 'cause we just love them. Each course was beautifully presented and the flavours of each element of the food were delicious. Starting with a French Onion soup that just got the taste buds flowing, followed by an amazing smoked trout dish that was wonderful. Scallops next, cooked to perfection followed by a breast of duck. 2 dessert courses followed, that last being a raspberry soufflé with white chocolate fondant cream and a raspberry coulis. The highlight was the scallops and the only course that was only 4.5 stars was the creme brûlée with a peach topping. Service from the team was fabulous and we were well looked after. Wine list is very extensive, but we only had chance to try a couple out. Nice evening.

Jamie is not only a marvellous chef, but a shrewd businessman. His new early bird locals menu is a triumph. While other restaurants in the South Hams have put up their prices and then moaned about lack of customers,, Jamie and his team have looked at it slightly differently. His starting point has been what can my average customers afford and then created a meal to match it. The result is a triumph. His usual suburb quality at an affordable price. You can still have the tasting menus and they look as creative as ever, but if you just fancy a reasonable priced night out, then this is the place to go. I doubt you will find anything better in the UK. Even the wine list has improved with a much bigger choice. Twenty Seven is a restaurant we use to go to treat ourselves or celebrate special events. The new “locals menu “ makes this the go to place for a meal. It really shows up local pub grub for what it is, expensive, unimaginative and over priced. Pay the same or less and get fine dining at a sensible price. And the staff and service are great.

We went to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Lovely staff with such nice detail touch. Best way to mark this date.
