Went for a family meal, there were 7 of us. When we arrived we promptly shown to our table. Our drinks order was taken and arrived in good time, shortly followed by our meals. Each one was just as we had hoped, cooked to perfection. We all finished our meals and some even managed a scrumptious desert. As for the service it was spot on, nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. Will definitely be going back.

Terrible experience! We were put on table 3 right next to the carver with the queued for carvery right beside our table, it was very off putting, my husband stood up to remove his jump as so hot and nearly knocked two people over as that close as already stated the pub was so hot (cold and raining outside) the amount of flys around the food was ridiculous.. the Carving guy kept tin foil over the meat but still not great, Swede tasted like a whole pepper mill had but used, potato’s hard, Gammon salty all seem rushed really wasn’t worth £40. definitely would not return.

Have been using our local pub/restaurant for almost 20 years. Early on it did not have a good reputation but for quite a few years now I have never had a bad meal there. The carvery is outstanding with plenty of meat choices and loads of veg. I have also booked for various occasions and the staff are brilliant and very helpful when there is a large number to cater for. Highly rate this lovely pub.

Lovely pub, friendly staff. Whenever we've been camping in the area we go here. Never had a bad meal. Really tasty and good portions.

Quick and very good service and dog friendly! We turned up half an hour early and we were seated quickly. Food was good, classic pub dishes!

Lovely little place. Cosy, clean. Carvery was very well set out and looked clean and tidy. Only negative was the selection of veg available - no peas or green veg except spring greens, no parsnips. Also the potatoes were like frozen (aunt Bessy) ones. All very uniform and the same pale honey colour - no crispy bits. Roast potatoes are my partner and son’s favourite food so for them to leave them on a plate is unheard of. But they did here. It’s a huge shame as the rest of the food was cooked to perfection and the gravy was one of the best we’ve ever had.

We had the mid-week roast. Generous selection and excellent quality and quantity of meat choices. Help yourself to veg etc - all freshly cooked and piping hot. When we arrived, we were booked into the bar area but the it was quickly arranged for us to sit in the restaurant. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend as a mid-week eating out choice.

When you book on line you fo not get to choose to sit in the resturant or the bar in this case we were in the bar area which was very busy

Always a very good carvery at The Turks Head. Great choice of meats & veg, something for everyone. Good prices, can thoroughly recommend this pub. Very popular so a good idea to book.

Booked for Sunday carvery after being recommended to us! Plenty of choice although carrots were a little under cooked otherwise everything else was lovely!!
