The Turks Head is the oldest pub in the heart of Penzance town. Unspoiled by contemporary design and décor, this soul-soothing, local pub offers a fresh, seasonal menu coupled with local craft beverages, all of which can be enjoyed in our shanty style, west-country setting. Our secret garden is a hidden retreat that begs for any passing explorer or local Kernow folk to enjoy. Enjoyable Sunday lunch- we had the chicken - it was hot , each item on the plate was very tasty- a delicious meal. Would recommend Sunday Lunch at the Turks Head, Penzance.

Vegan Sunday lunch was delicious, including the vegan pudding. Wish it was my local!

Great food and service on arrival. The only gripe was the service after we'd finished our main meal. It took a while for our plates to be cleared, and nobody came over to ask us if we wanted more drinks. Other than that, the roast was amazing, staff were lovely, and the pub is full of character. 👍

Great home cooked style roasts- plenty of food and amazing gravy too! Loved the humous also. Very pretty pub, friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Lovely pub and restaurant with cosy atmosphere. I think the team may have been understaffed, as we waited almost an hour for our food to come and noticed that other tables also waited a long time. We were quite happy waiting with our beers though, and all the servers were really friendly and helpful. Everyone really liked their meals - vegan burgers and chips were delicious, however for £16 there could've been a bit more on the plate e.g. coleslaw or more salad. Pretty standard for vegan food to be a bit of an afterthought, but the food itself was really lovely, just a shame that we didn't get a bit more for the price! Overall would definitely recommend.

Old dog friendly Atmospheric pub in Penzance -various small rooms bar and garden to choose from. Reputedly the oldest pub in Penzance. Excellent friendly staff, good menu and really enjoyed well prepared lunch time meals. Between 4 we chose pan fried trout, fish and chips and chicken schnitzel. All left clean plates! The dog had a bowl of water and a biscuit. Good value overall and would definitely recommend.

Eating lunch in the garden area was great. I had the beer battered fish and chips with a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The fish was slightly overcooked, but it was fresh. The mushy peas were not minted, other than that, the mushy peas were nice. The chips were good. The homemade tartare was nice but I could have done with more of it. The fish and chips was a nice portion size for me. The rum was nice. The sticky toffee pudding had to be premade / bought in. It didn't taste homemade. I suspect it was microwaved. I wasn't very impressed with it. If you're going to have condiments, why not have them in proper containers instead of sachets? I would have loved to have had homemade mayonnaise instead of a couple of sachets of Heinz mayo.

A good meal of fish and chips. Not fabulous cuisine but good pub fare. The Timothy Taylor beer was also good but ran out. The barman replaced the barrel so that I could have a second pint. Service was polished and friendly all round.

Fabulous historical pub in the heart of enchanting Penzance. Friendly welcoming staff, very comfortable table, delicious food and good wine menu. One of our favourite pubs.

Lovely food. Asked for medium rare/pink but was well cooked. Beef was good quality though so tasted good.
