Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual. Always scratch-made, always responsibly-sourced.
Please arrive on time with all members in your party present. We will cancel reservations 15 minutes after the scheduled time.
In compliance with the NC mandate please wear a mask upon entry and when moving around the restaurant. Our patio is covered, but it is not heated. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Experience the magic of Appalachia through our Sorghum Pork Bowl and Apple-achian Shine-tini! With the help of culinary experts in the region, our executive chef has created the quintessential Appalachian dinner. The Sorghum Pork Bowl features pork confit wrapped in Benton’s Country Ham prosciutto, served over a bed of stone-ground goat cheese grits and a bean medley with spinach and bacon. Over top is a sweet-but-savory sorghum black pepper glaze, popped sorghum, and a sprinkle of chives. This dish will fill your belly and warm your spirit! Don't forget to wet your whistle with our Apple-achian Shine-tini, featuring Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine. These Appalachian-inspired dishes are available for a limited time only.

I enjoyed the great tasting food and wonderful service. The southern chicken blt along with my side of salt and pepper crispy brussel sprouts was scrumptious. Definitely worth a trip back to try other dishes on the menu.

We showed up just prior to our reservation time and was told by frankly a very unfriendly hostess that we would need to wait for a table. We did so, but noticed there were many open tables available. When we were finally seated it took about 10 minutes before someone came to our table. The server was friendly and took our orders, but did not give us waters or silverware. Our cocktails came about 15 minutes later but only 3 out of 4 were delivered. None had garnishes ( these were specially cocktails). After waiting another 10 minutes I went to the bar myself and asked why we could not get our 4th drink. It was delivered within minutes. The up side was once our food arrived it was delicious! The Shrimp and Grits were some of the best we have tasted. The Chicken & Waffles were just as good. All of the chicken dishes were moist and flavorful. It's a shame such good food is not accompanied by good service. The bar drinks were a major disappointment. So if you have plenty of time and don't mind waiting then this is a good place. If service and good cocktails are important to you then you will be disappointed.

One of my favorite places when I'm uptown for events to grab a meal before or after. The chicken is good anyway it's ordered and the sides and other choices are tasty, too. This time, we walked in 15 minutes early for our reservation and watched others without reservation be seated for 15 minutes which seemed odd given the low availability of tables. Once seated, even though they seemed short staffed, multiple staff made our meal fantastic - from offering advise regarding reducing spice in entree choices to ensuring we had meals and refills as needed.

We were seated right away which was nice because there was a long wait without reservations. The service was just okay. This place was more casual than implied by the website. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was very good but the “spicy” fried was bland.

Our appetizer never arrived, and the second round of drinks was incorrect, yet we still had to pay for them. The service was slow, and while the food was decent, we won’t be returning.

Nice location to the stadium. Fried chicken was ok. Brussels sprouts were tough, but the fried pickles and the banana pudding were delicious.
