I don't usually leave reviews, but this was my second similar bad experience at Tulia Osteria, so a review is warranted. We arrived fairly early on Sunday for dinner. I believe we were the fourth table seated. We ordered promptly, focaccia, two salads and two mains. After waiting about 40 minutes with no food being served, while other later arriving tables had been served food, we asked the server if we could have our focaccia. The server said they usually serve focaccia with the mains, which did not make any sense. It appears to have prompted the server to recognize that there was a problem with our order. It looks like the restaurant has no computerized ordering system, and our order hadn't been shared with the kitchen. The food then arrived in increments, not without issue, and very slowly. We finished our mains almost two hours after we arrived. Over the course of the evening we heard three excuses: the kitchen was busy with orders coming at the same time (we were the fourth table seated and ordered promptly), there was an unspecified "problem with the machine", and three staff had not showed up for work. It seemed apparent to us that our order was not placed until after we inquired, which is why everyone else was served first. But nobody was prepared to admit that and accept responsibility. Our prior experience was not as bad, but the service was notably poor. We would not come back.

We went on Saturday night for dinner and ordered the burrata, scallop crudo, beef carpaccio and gluten free pizza. The server suggested focaccia with the burrata. None of the food was really that good. Burrata had pesto at the bottom which was the only flavourful thing - focaccia was suggested by the server to soak up the sauce but there wasn’t any real sauce with the burrata. The focaccia was very dense and doughy and completely unnecessary. They didn’t charge us for it since we barely ate it. Scallops were okay - had a lot of oil and some sort of orange citrus flavour - okay but not great. Carpaccio was overdressed with the white sauce to the point that it was way too creamy. Gluten free pizza had a very thick crust, too much cheese and was extremely heavy and dense. The server didn’t ask us if we enjoyed the meal although it was obvious we didn’t since we only had a slice each of the pizza and left the rest. Basil cocktail was decent but seemed light on the alcohol. I was excited because I only eat gluten free pizza and the restaurant had told us they make the best gluten free pizza. They do not unfortunately.

Over all experience was great. The only criticism I had was with the noise level. Music was a bit too loud.

The pour on the wine was ridiculously small. It was 3/4 inches high- maybe 3 oz and cost $17. I have NEVER- especially not in Italy- seen a glass of wine. I won’t recommend Tulia to anyone who wishes to have a glass of wine with dinner

The BEST Gluten Free pizza crust ever! The meal was exceptional, the servers were so friendly and the ambiance was groovy! Thank you to the bread chef for the tips😉

We come here all the time. Food is awesome, so friggin' good and staff is great. Pizza to die for, special dishes all the time. Tina, our usual server is definitely amazing and takes the time to ensure your experience rocks. All our other servers have been great too of course. Love Tulia. Go there now. Now. Go :)

Food was very nice tbh! The service was extremely slow considering the place was more or less empty, servers rarely came to check on us and took quite a while to notice we were finished eating. If the food wasn’t so nice, the place would have gotten a 2 star. Either hire more staff or get better ones:)
