Highly recommend! The food was excellent, the service was perfect and the restaurant is cozy and lively! Noisy but we were a group of 3 so it was fine. Desserts were also delicious!

Great overall experience, however some dishes were quite small for the price. You do expect smaller portion on many fine dining experiences but I'd expect the plate to be really exceptional and everything was tasty but few dishes were exceptional. Worth a try regardless and the service was exceptional which was nice.

The food was delicious . Zucchini blossoms great season opener. The steak and lamb was cooked perfectly. Medium rare. The best. Tasty & tender. Seasoned with just enough to enhance flavours. Loved the staff & the ambience. Extremely friendly & professional. A place you must try! Loved it!

Tuck Shop is one of our favourite restaurants! This time we were a group of 8 so we did the tasting menu (food served family-style) with the wine pairings. Delicious!

First time at Tuck Shop. Vibe is great! Loud but not terrible! Food outstanding! Our server was lovely. Only issue was we premised that the drinks needed to come out first before entres. However both dishes came out before we got our cocktails so we had to send them back. Allegedly the bar was backed up. That should not happen. Otherwise our experience was super and we will be sure to come back and tell our friends about this food gem!!

This is a great point - the bar and kitchen have opposite waves of business throughout the evening, when guests arrive (and start with drinks) and when guests then order their meal, so they won't always sync up, but some astute feedback. Especially if drinks and food are ordered at the same time, instead of drinks first then food as is more common, the server should modify both the food and drink orders with a note (ie: please make sure drinks are out before food) just as we modify food orders with an allergy (ex: contact nut allergy) to avoid such occurrences - especially when requested! Great nuanced feedback on a specific instance, and it was a pleasure meeting you both. Hook'em horns!

It needs to be clear when you book where you’re booking I thought I booked a table in the restaurant but ended up at the bar not ideal for four people

Thank you for dining with us. We are sorry to hear of your difficulty navigating the software, but there are multiple instances where you must select where you are sitting. After inputting guests, time, date, the options presented are identified by sections in the restaurant. Each has a written description of where you are dining, is then reiterated when you confirm the details prior to finalizing, and again in the confirmation email. In our experience, the corner bar are some of the most sought after seats, though we understand they may not have been ideal for you - but as we test the booking experience frequently, we are confident there are many indicators of where you are opting to book. We nevertheless always welcome you to call us directly so we can cater your next visit to your needs

Food came way to fast, felt rushed. Not the best service. One of my favourite restaurants in montreal, but this last time was disappointing. Overpriced now. Two small zucchini blossoms and chopped tomatoes for $27. No.

We are sorry that your most recent visit was not up to your past experiences - though we are grateful for presenting a possible learning opportunity. While we do instill a regimented service system, the ideal is to flow naturally and not to feel rushed. This is a valuable reminder that those systems are in place to be adapted when necessary. We hope you trust that it comes with good intentions, that all guests are served in a timely manner regardless of occupancy. As for cost, we are routinely reviewing cost-portions with our suppliers and our kitchen, and while the price of quality ingredients have risen (organic heirloom tomatoes and blossoms in this instance) we will share these notes with our chefs.
