Tsukiji is a family owned Latin Japanese restaurant. The owners Sam and Jessy are 100% involved in running the restaurant. Their goal is to serve you the best sushi in town and make you feel at home when you dine in at Tsukiji.

A thorough process starts with the freshest seafood and the best ingredients. Our experienced chefs transform these ingredients into the best dishes with new and refreshing flavors and textures.

Since we took over Tsukiji, we have introduced a number of fusion rolls where we combine Japanese and Latin flavors. Ask us for Lime Fusion, Spicy Fusion, Hamachi Fusion, Tuna Jalapeno and Guacamole Fusion. We also have Tropical, a delicious roll with fried plantains.

We are also known for our authentic Japanese cuisine where we aim to serve the freshest fish. At Tsukiji you can enjoy dishes like Okonomiyaki (Traditional Japanese Seafood Pancake), Ikebukuro, Ramen and Udon.

Tsukiji was an amazing experience through and through! The customer service was outstanding from the moment we entered until the moment we left, and the food was just as phenomenal. Such creative minds at work here, the ambience was perfect, and the owner even shared a shot of sake with us for our anniversary celebration! It is a MUST-TRY!

This sushi restaurant is absolutely the best I have had in Chicago. I almost don’t want to let everyone know about it because it’s so amazing and I want to be able to come back often! However, it is truly amazing and they deserve to have a line of people out of the doors. Do yourself a favor and try this place because you will be very thankful that you did. Absolutely the best I have had after going to over 30 locations in Chicago. I am especially drawn to it for their spicy options. They add a mix of flavors and spice that is unmatched elsewhere. They have multiple rolls that have spice to them, which is very difficult to find at any other sushi restaurant. Thank you all so much for the amazing food and service. See you soon!!

So I dined there with my daughter and a few friends. The food was good. The margaritas were really good, but the service takes away from both. I read the reviews prior to going and the one consistent thing is the service is not very welcoming, it’s cold and lackluster. We ordered the fried chicken which came out undercooked…so we sent it back. They took it from the table but left it on the bill. It’s was eventually taken off once we asked for manager. They literally charge you for sauce but don’t tell you… you’ll see it on the bill. I had the crab wontons and tempura shrimp roll.. they were good. My daughter had the spicy tuna roll. She said it was really good. The margaritas live up to the other review;very good and well-made. I was planning on returning for the ramen but the poor customer service changed mind.

Honestly one of the best places I’ve been to in a long time! Not from Chicago and first time here… best margaritas I’ve probably ever had! The fact that they make the syrup in house really makes a difference. The food was excellent as well! Service was great. Perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. Definitely will be back!

The service at the restaurant was incredible, the server was really attentive and did a great job at explaining the menu options. The food was tasty and the sushi was fresh - our favorite roll was the Ocean Jalapeño. We had the Kara Miso Ramen, it was flavorful and mildly spicy. The ramen came in a sizable bowl - something to consider if you’re looking to make space for ramen and a few sushi rolls. The real winner for us was the lobster wontons, definitely a must have! We would come back again for another date night.
