Tseen-Ja pays homage to the culinary culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. The chefs skillfully and respectfully create dishes that harmonize flavors to perfection using fresh, seasonal ingredients and ancestral Japanese methods.

Each bite is enjoyed serenely in this lush natural setting, from high in the treetops. This sensory experience allows you to enjoy Japanese cuisine uniquely, taking time to appreciate each flavor and texture.

- Reservations must be changed at Open Table 24 hours in advance or a cancellation fee of MXN 1000 per person will be charged
- 15 minutes tolerance to the reserved time
- The use of professional cameras and drones is not allowed.

The food was good but overpriced to the point of being unnecessary. The service was excellent and ambiance was great but overall an 8/10 in my opinion.

Absolutely stunning restaurant, food is a little pricey but worth the money. The drinks are phenomenal and the vibes are immaculate. I’ve been 3 times now and each time is just as beautiful and enjoyable, even going just for drinks is well worth it.

The photos are very misleading, we thought we would sit at a table with a view (in the “nido” as they call it) but it turned out those places were for groups only and at a cost of 10,000 mxn, so we asked to sit a a regular table at the terrace and they told us that it had an additional cost of 1,000 mxn… total rip off like most of the places in Tulum. Cocktails cost an average of 20 euros! The equivalent of what I paid at the rooftop bar of the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong!!!

The venue is super cool… very Star Wars Ewok village. But that about it. The food is grossly overpriced and was not very memorable. Overcooked edamame and $60 ramen… but it was huge. Great experience but the food is definitely lacking.

This place is perfect to have a date with friends or celebrate a special occasion, we celebrated our anniversary and they were very kind with us.

Food very pricy - more than NYC. I took nigris, one of them was with the skin. The veggie rolls had an hibiscus condiment very not necessary. Why to add this to a beautiful natural product? This doesn’t justify the price fyi. Service was okay. One nigri, one bao veggie, two rolls veggie, water and two cocktails = $150 / 3,000 mx pesos. Don’t come for the food, come for the unique decoration

Nothing special about the omakaze menu, flavors or presentation. I was hungry. I ate. But no course impressed me.if I knew what it was on the menu for the night I would have not gone. The decor is interesting and ambient muaic was nice. It was raining and dripping trough ceiling. I had to change three tables. I was alone and they did not offer the tables I wanted. I needed up starting at the bar. I would not go again.

We ate here December 21st, me and my husband are sick, the drinks were not good. Prices are extremely high.

The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous and you pay $1000.00 pesos per person and that includes one drink. Unfortunately, we should have just stopped there. We ate at Tseen Ja (The Japanese Restaurant). Food was mediocre at best. I had the chefs tasting menu. Prices were outrageous and the food quality was lacking. There is NO NEED to eat here. Have a drink at the rooftop and go elsewhere. So many better places to eat. $12,000 pesos later. #nothanks
