Le Trummer's on Main est l'endroit où la modernité de la ville de New York se mélange au charme historique. Les propriétaires Stefan et Victoria Trummer usent de leur vaste expérience en restauration et de leur passion pour la petite ville de Clifton afin de vous offrir une expérience culinaire unique. Very disappointing experience for what is rated one of the top restaurants in VA. Admittedly it was Valentines weekend but even with a limited menu, the food was average at most. Shrimp & Grits was the best dish. The pork was overcooked and dry - I’m not even sure it was cooked that night or if it was reheated. The cheesecake dessert looked like it had been sitting out for days and tasted the same - dry and flavorless. Based on this first experience, not sure I’m even willing to give it a second chance.

Beautiful environment in the dining room but as far as the food, not as impressive. We live nearby and hoped it would be better than our previous experience there but we do much tastier salmon at home. The cheesecake dessert looked good but again, we can make a much better one at home. Venison steak was tasty, probably the best dish we had. Overall, disappointing especially for Valentine’s Day dinner out.

We were so looking forward to finally trying Trummer's Restaurant. My husband and I went for drinks and dinner on Saturday, February 15th so it was a pre-fixed 3 course Valentine's menu but we both liked the menu choices and the price did not seem unreasonable for those choices and the caliber of the restaurant. The seating at the bar, the bar selection, and service all started us off right! When we went for dinner upstairs we were sat in a dining room I did not see featured in photos and it was less appealing (I did peek at the other dining room in photos and that was gorgeous but we wished we had stayed at the bar for where we were sat). The service we received upstairs was also very good. The appetizers were good, my scallops were great but the risotto served on a flat plate was undercooked, and the single pork chop my husband received was a pork chop you would buy in a pack from a standard grocery store and it was cut in half, thin, and dry. The red velvet cheesecake sounded amazing but it was hard and dry and and had a top swirl of red velvet. Overall, for what we expected, we were disappointed. The bar atmosphere and service were the best parts. I was disappointed the food was underwhelming and some of it frankly not baked or cooked right. We would go back to sit at the bar and order an appetizer and go from there. I can't recommend, based on our experience, that we would pay for what we experienced and unfortunately because I really was looking forward to!

Wonderful venue for a birthday celebration. The fixed Valentine’s Day menu was superb and the service was excellent. A great meal and great choice.

I disovered Trummers quite by accident when I looking for Truffle Fries for my son. We found Trummers, and the fries and their chicken were outstanding. That's when I knew I had to bring my wife here for Valentine's Day. And Trummers did not disappoint! That meal was the best we've had since moving to Virginia. If you are having trouble finding great food, service, and atmosphere, I can't rave about Trummers enough.

Trummer's always has the most unique menus in this area. The chef always seems to find the perfect blend of flavors to make truly wonderful items, whether it's an appetizer, entree or dessert. They also have a great choice of wines and the bar downstairs is also very nice. It's a great place to take that special person for a beautiful evening. Yes, it's expensive, but well worth it.
