We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner - service was fabulous. Food was great and that the leather booths are incredibly comfortable and roomy for four - and you can hear each other!

This was a special occasion dinner Christmas eve date night. The service was great and the time at the restaurant very relaxing. I really appreciate the ability to be able to have a conversation so many restaurant inDC are so noisy even sitting next to each other it's hard to talk. Our waiter Franklin was very personable friendly and knowledgeable.

My family and I had a great time last night for Christmas Eve. Franklin, our server was excellent. He was both knowledgeable and patient, and very friendly. The food was very good, well seasoned and decent portion sizes. The one thing I didn’t love was that most of the crab and lobster menu options weren’t really entree sized, for example, a 1/2 lb king crab leg (shell included in the weight), and sides are a la carte. With soup or salad, and a side- that was plenty, but felt a little misleading at first. Again, everything was delicious and the portions for the other entrees and sides were generous. We would definitely come back.

I went to Trulucks to celebrate a birthday on Saturday night. I've been dying to try it out for a while. The service from Franklin was impeccable. I paid $25 to valet park, which is great for that area. The Parker house rolls and the drinks were great. However, the king crab and lemon butter made me sick as a dog!!! It was so bad that I had to leave my friends at the table and go sit in my car until they were ready to go. I've never been so been hit so quickly and aggressively by illness caused by food! We cancelled the rest of our plans for the evening because I could barely sit up. I didn't begin to feel well until Sunday night. I know that sometimes restaurants have a bad night, but at over $100 for a 1 pound crab leg... absolutely not! I'm going to have to stick with Joe's as my go to for seafood in DC.

Franklin our server was the ultimate professional and made our 37th Anniversary very special. The entire experience tonight was superb!!! I salute the executive chef!!! Kudos!!!

I came here to celebrate my birthday with some friends. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, over the live music. I’ve heard great things about this establishment but tonight didn’t live up to the expectations of what I’ve heard. The server wasn’t very attentive. It took a long time to get our entrees, the food was cold and underwhelming. I will be returning to give it another try thanks to the Manager John, who was really apologetic and took care of us. Amazing hospitality, hopefully when I return it will be better !

The food was subpar calamari rubbery Caesar salad Parmesan cheese rock hard. The lamb chops were fine lobster bisque ok The place was attractive however the food did not match the decorum. I will not be back
