Drinks were great, food was just ok. Even though the crab leg was split open, it took more effort than it should have to get the meat out of it. Filet was cooked right (med rare), but it was still tougher than it should have been. Server did a great job helping us decide all our courses while our drinks were being made, but then he never wrote down/entered any of it, so he came back and was like ‘have we decided on our meal?), so we had to go through it all again. We were celebrating my birthday, so they brought out a dessert, which was nice, but the server never asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu, or have an after dinner drink/coffee…not huge issues, but we’d probably try a different restaurant next time.

As always, if you want the best dining experience in the Chicago area look no further than Truluck’s. A big part of this is the service, so ask for Andrew. He makes a great dining experience even greater.

Everything was great, the server Andrew was phenomenal and very kind and patient. Valet was very nice, the hostess was excellent. We will be back soon to your restaurant.

We have used Truluck’s for celebrating several of our special occasions and truly have enjoyed our dining experiences each time! As a plus, we were impressed by the illuminated menus; very innovative!

Great experience coming here for a birthday dinner. The hosts prepared a sign and flower display at the table. They have a host circling to help with filling water while waiting for the wait staff which was nice. Menus are nice and illuminated. Our waitress Francine was incredible, she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. She thoroughly explained the menu, including where the seafood is sourced from, new dishes, and the house favorites. We were greeted with a complimentary baked Alaska dessert as part of the birthday treatment. Amazing experience and we will be returning for more.

Delicious drinks - especially the spicy blackberry marg! Liked the tuna tartar appetizer. Stone crab claws were very good as was miso seabass. Sides were a little on the small size for the money - 5 stalks of asparagus and creamed spinach could have been bigger. Truffle fries were plentiful and very good. Loved the carrot cake and key lime desserts. Service was ok - another table that was a larger party than ours finished their meal and left before us and there were times where our server was MIA, but nothing that would prevent us from returning. Overall, very good, but very pricey too.

We were at this restaurant to celebrate our 46th anniversary. They treated us royally and sat us in a quiet private-like booth. Just perfect in every way from the meal to the special dessert! We will return !😊
