Welcome to the True Wild Distilling Bar & Restaurant, A live-fire restaurant nestled between towering whisky and gin stills inside a stunning heritage building. High-quality proteins and sustainable vegetables dishes are infused with the unique flavour profile that only charcoal can impart. Unpretentious yet premium, we’ve developed a menu that’s driven by the spirits of its surroundings and is complimentary in nature.

Just an unexpected place. Venue is amazingly beautiful. Doesn’t feel like you are in Calgary. Service was fabulous, food and drinks are top notch. Even though it’s in the industrial area it’s a destination place to go. Reminds of going to restaurants in New York!!

Wonderful evening spent at this incredible Historical Building … the space is so different . Magical actually…. Right down to the Spirit animal!! The Hare. 🐇🐇🐇 Wonderful dinner. Chef Jeff was brilliant…. The food tastes amazing. We had fresh oysters, baked oysters… so GOOD.. , steak tartare, brussels sprout salad, lamb shoulder, rainbow trout.. everything was so good even the bread malted barley sourdough!! Thank you .🙏🏼

We loved our dining experience with our 8 and 11 year old daughters. The food was incredible … possibly the best in all of Calgary! The smoked oysters, bone marrow toast, and beef tartar were our favourites; the kids loved the cheese burger, fries and orange sorbet which was packed with flavour (not too sweet or too bitter). The restored power substation that is now the restaurant and distillery was also equally amazing with a a truly memorable dining experience. Until you step into the space you can’t even imagine the scale and opulence. We thought our server Peter was exceptional, as were the smoked old fashion and whisky sour, in addition to the other cocktails we tried. 5 stars … we are definitely coming back soon!

From the time you pull up to the amazing building to the time you step into this restored location you will get an experience you soon won’t forget. The staff is inviting, welcoming and very attentive to every detail, including our severe nut allergy. The drinks are based mainly from gin and whiskey, and are unique and fun, including some old school mixed with new. The food was incredible with special details and flavour profiles. You can tell the staff enjoy working in such an incredible establishment. As it is a shareable concept it makes for great conversation with each dish, and makes you want to o my pick up your phone for pictures.

True Wild is destined to be a top spot in Calgary for dinner, cocktails and a great evening out! Also…tons of parking. Loved it. We’ll be back!

True Wild is like no other. No expense was spared, this is 5++++ in my books. The food is some of the best I have had in years. My fav, Steak Tartare, the best I have ever had!!! Thanks for the amazing experience!!!!

Phenomenal new spot in YYC. Cocktails were true to form and the food was solid. Make a reservation and check out True Wild! You won’t be disappointed!!
