Welcome to the True Wild Distilling Bar & Restaurant, A live-fire restaurant nestled between towering whisky and gin stills inside a stunning heritage building. High-quality proteins and sustainable vegetables dishes are infused with the unique flavour profile that only charcoal can impart. Went here for a birthday dinner. The ambiance, the history of the building and the service were top notch!! The food…… was ok. Not great but good. The menu online is not the same as the one at the restaurant. There’s a few differences. Tight quarters for eating with 4 people as the tables are tight. Especially since the sides come separately from the proteins. Quite honestly I had higher expectations for this restaurant after reading all the online reviews. Overall, the atmosphere and service is a 10 out of 10. The food - I give it a 7 out of 10.

Spectacular space - this repurposed electrical substation contains a spectacular restaurant and bar space. Cocktails are well prepared and presented, and the food is spot on. Perfect place to take someone you really want to impress.

We went to True Wild for a birthday and had a great experience. The food was delicious. Loved the oysters and the lamb. We had a great server that took care of us for the evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful and there is a great event space upstairs. I Would definitely recommend a visit

The space is beautiful. The food was outstandingly delicious the highlight of my dining experience the last few years in Calgary. Looking forward to more experiences there.
