True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. Good healthy food. Nothing fancy. Very quiet on a Monday evening. Might be noisier on a busier day.

I have been going to Truefood since it opened at Mosaic and my fave has always been the grass fed burger. Sadly they have changed the beef and bun. Smaller and thinner beef that now tastes like cardboard and no longer have the flax bun. This is one of their most popular dish. Why change something that was perfect before.

The service was friendly. The food took entirely too long to come out, especially considering the place was not busy at all. Both of us ordered the teriyaki quinoa bowl with added grilled chicken. Though I appreciate it wasn't drowned in sauce and salt, it was short on flavor and the chicken was on the dry side. It was also a small portion. For a bowl costing $25 it was a disappointment to have to eat again when I got home. Not much bang for the value buck.
