True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. Expand your palate with our Edamame Dumplings, grab a bite of comfort food with our Grass-fed Burger or Lasagna Bolognese, or enjoy lighter fare with our O.G. The food was excellent. I had the citrus salmon salad. It was incredibly fresh, and instead of small pieces of salmon, one beautifully seasoned piece of the fish rested on top of a bed of lovely greens. This was the best dish I have eaten out in a long time. My friend also enjoyed his food. The problem was in the presentation. The dishes were small. There was plenty of food, but having two smallish plates sort of quickly placed in front of us by a server other than our waitress who then quickly walked away was a little disappointing. We then realized that we had no salt or pepper and my friend had to get the attention of a third server to bring him catsup. The restaurant was almost empty. It was noon on a Sat. Yet, although the staff was friendly, there just did not seem to be much interest. We were engrossed in conversation so we didn’t really care, but it was quite a long time before our waitress came to take our order, and an overly long wait for the food. Then no, “Can I get you anything.” I would have asked for bread if that question had been asked. In summary: Very nice food, nothing special about the presentation or the service.

I attended the fall tasting event. The food was great and highly recommend the steak with peppercorn sauce.

Really enjoyed the Fall Menu Preview. What a lovely way to celebrate our 47th Wedding Anniversary. Food was great. The variety of the Fall Menu Sampler was very appropriate and delicious . Loved the 3 sampler Margaritas served with the entree. Hope to return soon to enjoy the same dishes and beverage. Highly recommend the Blood Orange Margarita: just the right balance between sweet and spicy. The Grilled Grass-Fed Tenderloin with peppercorn sauce went perfectly with the cheesy mashed potatoes, seasoned vegetables , charred onions and mushrooms. True Food Kitchen has never disappointed us.

The brunch menu was very limited and the service was quite bad. There was only one other table in the restaurant. The server. Was not very present, helpful or knowledgeable about the menu items. I think this place had a lot of potential but it was not a good experience.

For a party of 12 our server and we staff did well to accommodate all our needs from drinks to appetizers to the entrées. We did not have dessert. We did request the private dining room and I upped the number from 10 to 12 and was forewarned that it would be cozy, but it worked well for our group. If there’s one thing that we all complained about is the seating the seats are not meant for eating they’re more meant for lounging.

I love eating here but this most recent experience solidified it. When I shared that I was allergic to avocado, including avocado oil the kitchen typically uses, they offered to broil my salmon. However, when my dish came out, they explained that they accommodated cooking the salmon in olive oil so it would have the similar crisp taste as those cooked in the original recipe. I was so appreciative that the restaurant took the time to make the accommodations and ensure the taste was top-notch.

Our service was extremely slow. She took our order and we did not see her again until we were halfway through our entrées. Extremely disappointing.
