True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. Expand your palate with our Edamame Dumplings, grab a bite of comfort food with our Grass-fed Burger or Lasagna Bolognese, or enjoy lighter fare with our O.G. Tuscan Kale Salad with Grilled Sustainable Salmon. Regardless of the occasion, we know our Edison guests leave feeling energized, satisfied and most importantly, feeling great. This is the third True Food Kitchen location that I have visited and was happy with the location. I had planned to use the In Kind app for the restaurant but it did not work. Perhaps the app is not integrated into NJ well. The app is very popular in the Washington, DC area and I was very happy using it there. The manager chose to comp us for the dinner, well above what we would have expected because there were no complaints from us. My wife and I were out to celebrate our anniversary and chose the place because we liked the one in Bethesda, MD. We will return to the Edison, NJ location and probably others when travelling.

The food and drink were very good. Our server was a bit busy though there were not many people seated in the restaurant. Everyone was very hospitable and accommodating. We all enjoyed our food and portion size. Thank you

We were very disappointed with True Food Kitchen. 1. Seating on the patio for 5 people was very difficult. Tables should be movable. 2. One of our friends can't have any salt in her food. She was told that the only items on the menu that would be suitable for her were a side order of bland chicken and a small salad. Everything else was pre-made with seasonings and dressings. 3. Neither Coke or Pepsi, regular or diet, was on your menu. I can't have sugar(including fruit juices) in my diet so my choice of beverage was very limited. I settled on water. 4. My "not your mama's meatloaf" was dry and uninteresting. 5. Your location was difficult to find. 5. Prices for basic items such as a hamburger is high.

After being seated for our reservation the wait staff refused to serve us. We left after waiting 30 minutes. The experience felt discriminatory as the waitress was white, we’re Black, and a white couple seated next to us was served within minutes after being seated after us.

With a child that has a food allergy they were so kind going through the menu and even bringing out their meal work second server. It's little things like this that make an experience great.

Our sever was phenomenal I am a GF vegetarian and I was thrilled to have so many choices! Will be going back. The ambiance seems more like a daytime place, we were there first dinner.
