True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. I loved the openness and light at True Food Kitchen. I very much enjoyed the cocktail I had (Blood Orange margarita) and the crisp chicken tenders either kale salad. The chicken is air fried, so lighter than fried, and with great crunch and flavor. The kale salad was really delicious. My husband had a glass middle bowl that he said was very good too. We will definitely go back.

The place looks like fast food cafe. The food was not great, bland and dry. Our server however, was very pleasant and caring.

The restaurant was extremely cold. The hostess agreed and commented other guests felt the same way. Kale salad dressing had no flavor. The pasta was overcooked (soft and pasty). Lasagne was dry (hard noodles) a very small portion and too much sauce to compensate. Bella gave us great service! Your restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night at 7:00??

Highly disappointed that they took their homemade chips off the menu and now are using ones out of a bag. Also, they don’t have a great red wine organic selection and the one I wanted they were out of which was sustainable. They need to make sure they don’t get so corporate and commercial and move away from being True Food.

The food was excellent. I had the citrus salmon salad. It was incredibly fresh, and instead of small pieces of salmon, one beautifully seasoned piece of the fish rested on top of a bed of lovely greens. This was the best dish I have eaten out in a long time. My friend also enjoyed his food. The problem was in the presentation. The dishes were small. There was plenty of food, but having two smallish plates sort of quickly placed in front of us by a server other than our waitress who then quickly walked away was a little disappointing. We then realized that we had no salt or pepper and my friend had to get the attention of a third server to bring him catsup. The restaurant was almost empty. It was noon on a Sat. Yet, although the staff was friendly, there just did not seem to be much interest. We were engrossed in conversation so we didn’t really care, but it was quite a long time before our waitress came to take our order, and an overly long wait for the food. Then no, “Can I get you anything.” I would have asked for bread if that question had been asked. In summary: Very nice food, nothing special about the presentation or the service.
