True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. At 7pm my family walked in to an almost empty TrueFood in Boca Raton and I was told “we are not talking walk ins” went outside and made an OpenTable reservation, walked back in and said I have a reservation. Was then told, we are not going to honor that, we had some people not show up to work and we don’t want to seat anyone because it means more work for us. I’m wondering if next True Food will start a work from home policy so the staff won’t have the burden of pesky customers.

We’ve been to True Food many times and we always have an excellent experience. The food is delicious and the service, this time by Gigi, is outstanding.

The restaurant was extremely noisy with lots of kids running unsupervised around the tables. We raised 2 children and it's not hard to keep them entertained at the table vs screaming and running around. Part of the issue is that we ate early when families may have stopped before heading home - lesson learned.

We had a terrific server who filled in for a table that was not her responsibility. Food is very good and drinks terrific. It was a very busy night and it took a long time before someone came to our table to engage. Once we got our order in, service was seamless. We like the restaurant very much despite a blip here or there.

The server started out very friendly and we had good cocktails. We waited for another guest. When she arrived the server’s demeanor changed for some reason. She seemed annoyed and the rest of the service was extremely slow. When we finally received our dinner, mine was inedible. It was a special salad and it really was terrible. My husband ate his sandwich, he was hungry but thought it was awful as well. The server asked if I wanted a box to wrap the salad I did not eat. She should have noticed and asked if there was a problem. All around a bad experience. We will not be coming back.

We were surprised by the quality of the food the sustainable, healthy options and calorie count. Will definitely go back for a LOW KEY meal.

Good, healthy, consistent food. Good service. A little noisy inside but we ate outside so no complaints.
