True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. Preview tasting of the new fall menu was an excellent way to try new items. The Chinese Chicken Salad and Rosemary Focaccia were my overall favorites and the grilled tenderloin with cheesy potatoes was very flavorful. Dessert paired chocolate and peanut butter in an irresistible almond/coconut crusted “Tarte Bite.” All three drinks in the Margarita Flight were well blended with no single ingredient overpowering the others. It was hard to choose, but the El Pomelo with patron blanco tequila and grapefruit edged slightly ahead off the other two as my top choice.

Delicious September specials. We had the Rancher’s Hash & Burrito. Delicious! We also went early, so the noise level was low.

The food was outstanding - amazingly fresh and tasty. The marriage of different flavours in the veggie bowl I had with prawns was incredible. One of the best meals I've had at a local restaurant in a long time. The pizzas looked fab too. My whole group of five all loved their food and we all had different things.

Gabe/Gabriel was an outstanding server. He was a pleasure to talk to and had some great menu recommendations. We were sitting outside and noticed that a customer started smoking. We were downwind of it during a windy evening, so the smell was overwhelming. After a few minutes we reached out to the host who promptly asked the customers to stop smoking. The host and Gabe both apologized to us and we greatly appreciated how they handled the situation.

We find a shard of plastic in our macaroni and cheese. Shortly after we find a dead bug in the food. Manager seemed very nonchalant. Not sure what’s happening in the kitchen but they need to reevaluate some things. I love True Food and have been to other locations with no issues. I’m on the AIP diet and this is one of the only places I can eat freely.

Josh was amazing! We were a big group in town for a funeral service and he gave great recommendations and was so patient with our group!

Only negative comment is the volume of music. Since its an industrial space, the music gets very loud

Great food, wide variety of choices for all sorts of mindful diners. Fresh food prepared expertly, at a price you're pleasantly surprised with. Great value for the quality and entree size. Edamame dumplings are a must.
