True Chesapeake is a fine dining restaurant born of an oyster farm. Executive Chef Zack Mills creates a seasonal menu that showcases oysters from our far St. Jerome’s Creek, Southern Maryland — raw, roasted, and in signature dishes like Classic Rockefeller and Semolina Fried Oysters. But, the oysters are just the beginning. Our award winning menu celebrates the bounty of the Chesapeake region by using locally sourced seafood, meat, and produce to create exquisite dishes that evolve with the seasons. Chef Mills has been featured extensively for his use of invasive seafood species, a very delicious way to help the Chesapeake Bay. Don't forget to order the Blue Crab and Bone Marrow dip or handmade pasta. We have an expertly curated wine list, beer selection, and cocktails - both classic and creative. Ample bar, high-top, and terrace seating available for walk-ins on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    The food was great. The only reason it didn't score excellent was because the service was slow--not the server's fault-but because it was happy hour and the bar was overwhelmed. The oysters (Skinny Dippers) were fantastic; huge and meaty. As an environmental activist, I appreciate that they are very environmentally friendly; partnering with the Oyster Recovery Partnership and having bee-friendly native plants in their patio planters.

    Same menu for the past six months we have been visiting True Oysters always a good choice especially the salty ones Needs to be more variety from the menu Wait staff has improved from times before

    The Baltimore Banner highlighted this wonderful restaurant. Excellent dinner menu, and the oysters were delicious. The staff was wonderful, including the manager who took his time greeting customers. We will be back for brunch!

    Placed our order specifically omitting onion and any onion family member in the dish. Guess how it arrived of course with the onions chives etc. Otherwise it was quite nice

    We have been here several times and really enjoyed our experience. This time our brunch on Father’s Day was quite different. Our server forgot to order one of the meals. There was then no effort made to expedite this meal and our Dad had to wait a full hour to be served and in the meantime everyone else had finished eating. We also never received an appetizer we ordered, several drinks from the bar or refills for water that we requested many times. There was an obvious power struggle going on between the angry kitchen staff and wait staff for which we had to suffer. Our bill arrived and there was no apology no discount for a meal that arrived so late the waiter was embarrassed to bring it to our table. For the manager to tell us that they didn’t expect to be that busy- it’s Father’s Day Sunday brunch and then respond so incredibly poorly to the situation was ridiculous.
