Nestled at the foothills of Red Hill, Trofeo Estate is a family-owned vineyard and winery with a unique story to share. A trip to Trofeo will take you back in time, where the most ancient method dating back more than 3,000 years meets modern innovation in winemaking. Trofeo age and ferment their wine exclusively in Terracotta Amphora vessels imported from Italy. Elegant and fruit-driven wines are grown and crafted onsite, representing the purest form of each cool climate variety and the regions unique terroir.

Originally housing a passionfruit cannery circa 1930, the venue is now home to the cellar door and restaurant, stretching out onto a stunning deck and wine garden that overlooks 50 acres of rural vineyard. Headed by Executive Chef Steve Davidson, the restaurant delivers a relaxed shared menu showcasing the best of the region, designed to be enjoyed with our wines. Guests can also visit the cellar door to sample award-winning wines and experience the terracotta difference.

The restaurant is set in a beautiful winery and has a good outdoor area. We found the food was average and not value for money. We were most disappointed with the Margherita drink which we couldn’t finish.

A beautiful winery, felt very welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Some excellent wines particularly the Chardonnay. Perfect lunch for a sunny day. We will return.!!

Trofeo Estate, a place I once held in high regard due to previous enjoyable visits, turned out to be an absolute letdown during my recent birthday celebration. Notably missing was any acknowledgment of my birthday which was noted in the booking, a small gesture that would have significantly enhanced the personal feel of the occasion. The initial seating arrangement added to the disappointment, as we were placed directly under the intense heat of the sun on a blistering 37-degree day. It was only after we voiced our discomfort that they agreed to move our table, a reaction that, while ultimately accommodating, should not have required prompting given the obvious discomfort AND the abundance of free tables. The experience was further marred by the cheese platter, which, at $39, was both underwhelming and lackluster and the venue should be ashamed for serving this in our day & age (refer to photos) Although the wines at Trofeo Winery retain their appeal, this visit highlighted that exceptional wine alone cannot compensate for shortcomings in hospitality and service. The overall experience was dampened by the lack of attention to detail, the necessity to request basic comfort considerations, and the disappointing food offering. Consequently, I am compelled to reconsider returning, driven by the realisation that the essence of a memorable winery visit encompasses far more than just the quality of the wine. I regret coming here - please learn from my mistake and don’t make it also💕

Went to Trofeo for a midweek lunch. Food was amazing, choice of dishes from three courses. Gourmet food which was absolutely delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. 5 Star quality, can’t wait to go back!

Our group of nine really enjoyed our midweek lunch at Trofeo Estate. The food was beautifully presented and all dishes we tried were delicious. The space was welcoming, with friendly and attentive service. Most of our group, although living locally, had not visited previously and were most impressed at the quality and value of the meal. We left saying ‘We’ll be back!”

Food was of high quality but portions were very small. Two small lamb cutlets for a main dish was an insult. At $67pp for two very small meals was over the top. This was our fifth visit but won’t be rushing back for the miserable cuisine.
