Trivet derives from the age-old cooking utensil - an iron tripod placed over fire to support a cooking pot or kettle - reflecting the warmth and balance which forms Head Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal’s values for the restaurant, as well as their working relationship.

From the very beginning of the creative process, Jonny, Isa and the team think about how food and drink work together. The menu features their explorations of ingredients, dishes and drinks from around the world, inspired by the culinary history and diversity around us. The wine list is set out chronologically, following the historic beginnings of wine to present day, with over 350 wines from classic producers to the New World, as well as acknowledging the root of viti-vinoculture with wines from Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

As well as the welcoming main dining room, Trivet has a terrace, wine bar and private dining space. Monday nights transform into the LaBombe Wine Bar.

For events in house, Trivet offers tailored set menus for formal and casual seated dining, standing snacks and canapés, paired dinners for wine events and special in-house events such as chef collaborations and Canadian Thanksgiving! Jonny, Isa and the team can also offer off-site catering upon request.

Trivet can offer a variety of event experiences, for up to 30 guests seated in the private dining room (the 'Mustard Room'), or around 50 guests seated in the main dining space as a whole venue hire. The whole restaurant, with bar and terrace included, is a flexible and dynamic space, ready for meetings, tastings, celebrations and more.

We are now open for a very different Trivet experience, fully realising our Wine Bar potential on the most (we think unfairly) moaned-about day of the week! We would love to welcome you on Mondays from 5pm-11pm for drinks, with a special menu available to order between 5pm and 9.30pm, to help you ease into the working week (or enjoy your day off if you’re a fellow hospitality worker). The full Trivet wine list will of course be available to explore, as will our cocktails and other drink options, including some incredible wines by the glass. Online bookings can be made for parties of up to 6 guests. Trivet offers a refreshingly unique dining experience that surprises from the moment you walk in. The decor and casual seating may not scream "two-star Michelin," but don't let that fool you. The food is simply outstanding, with each dish showcasing an incredible balance of flavors and creativity. The wine list is equally impressive, featuring a selection of interesting and thoughtfully curated options. Trivet breaks away from the traditional fine dining mold, but its culinary excellence clearly earns its Michelin stars. A delightful experience that blends innovation with authenticity!

The food was wonderfully prepared, the wine list was filled with unusual choices and the wait staff made great recommendations, and the service was lovely and relaxed. Very nice ambience.

sat on the terrace on a rare sunny day this year and were treated to superb service and amazing quality food - we shared some mouthwatering freshly shaved ham with delicious bread, followed by seeetbreads and then shared turbot and plaice with some amazing sauces - staff couldn't have been more helpful, informative and cheerful. best meal i've had in years -will definitely be back!

I'm not sure a 2 Michelin star restaurant needs my review, but I can't speak highly enough about our evening here! The food quality speaks for itself for what you'd expect from this level, but the attention to small details is what made our experience. I got the sense they had staggered bookings so that each table received laser-accuracy service and attentiveness, we had time to finish our cocktails before the first course, drinks and further courses were timed perfectly and we didn't want for anything. Being able to have wine by the glass was a nice touch, allowing us to pair perfectly for each dish. We had a great table at the front, with the doors open to the quiet street, the perfect way to enjoy the last of the summer warmth. If you enjoy excellent food and service from people who are clearly passionate about their craft, book Trivet. It felt a relaxed and accessible way to sample Jonny Lake's food, away from the stuffiness of some traditional Michelin venues. We would definitely book again to try a new menu selection.

Friendly and confident. A relaxed atmosphere with dishes prepared using very high-quality ingredients and excellent experience and technique. An amazing wine list. The best part is that there is no tasting menu. You can order whatever you want, as much as you want.
