Trivet derives from the age-old cooking utensil - an iron tripod placed over fire to support a cooking pot or kettle - reflecting the warmth and balance which forms Head Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal’s values for the restaurant, as well as their working relationship.

From the very beginning of the creative process, Jonny, Isa and the team think about how food and drink work together. The menu features their explorations of ingredients, dishes and drinks from around the world, inspired by the culinary history and diversity around us. The wine list is set out chronologically, following the historic beginnings of wine to present day, with over 350 wines from classic producers to the New World, as well as acknowledging the root of viti-vinoculture with wines from Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

As well as the welcoming main dining room, Trivet has a terrace, wine bar and private dining space. Monday nights transform into the LaBombe Wine Bar.

For events in house, Trivet offers tailored set menus for formal and casual seated dining, standing snacks and canapés, paired dinners for wine events and special in-house events such as chef collaborations and Canadian Thanksgiving! Jonny, Isa and the team can also offer off-site catering upon request.

Trivet can offer a variety of event experiences, for up to 30 guests seated in the private dining room (the 'Mustard Room'), or around 50 guests seated in the main dining space as a whole venue hire. The whole restaurant, with bar and terrace included, is a flexible and dynamic space, ready for meetings, tastings, celebrations and more.

Mondays at Labombe Wine Bar

We are now open for a very different Trivet experience, fully realising our Wine Bar potential on the most (we think unfairly) moaned-about day of the week! We would love to welcome you on Mondays from 5pm-11pm for drinks, with a special menu available to order between 5pm and 9.30pm, to help you ease into the working week (or enjoy your day off if you’re a fellow hospitality worker). The full Trivet wine list will of course be available to explore, as will our cocktails and other drink options, including some incredible wines by the glass. Online bookings can be made for parties of up to 6 guests. for 2 stars, its somewhere that's been on my radar for a while, i wont deny i was incredibly disappointed, Drunk lobster the was salty and rather flavourless. Service was good and attentive, maybe my expectation was too high. No real complaints, i just walked out feeling it was very average,

Totally underwhelmed. Food so so.. certainly not worthy of 2 stars! One big gripe: why on earth serve the same Amuse-bouche with the lamb dish (only with addition of tiny sweetbread). Lazy. Wines crazily overpriced.

Relaxed restaurant environment. Good food but I personally did not think it was exceptional. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent wine selection.

Nowhere near Michelin 2** or even * Service: spent several minutes studying the large wine list, selected a 2015 Burgundy only to be told it’s unavailable. (Why not mark it off?) Food: some good, not great, dishes. My main duck, however, was overcooked The real trouble was the end, when the open kitchen staff began busily cleaning up, and our server whisked plates off our table as we were finishing our wine.. Reading so many glowing reviews before booking, we were perplexed.

Wonderful food at a high price. Service was pleasant with a few minor missteps. ambience is tasteful modern but a little noisy.

Regular visitor to Trivet, but first time on a Monday night - Canada Day special event. Have been to Canada numerous times over the years so it was interesting to try some of the Canadian wines on offer and their dishes. Excellent evening - very busy everyone seemed to have a great time.
