Triumph Brewing Company, founded in 1995, is a full service restaurant and brewery with a seasonally changing gastro-pub menu driven largely by local farms. One guest described us as, "Upscale yet laid back. Cool but cozy. Refined but not pretentious." We're still blushing! We have live, original music Thursday- Sunday - never a cover charge and never a cover band. We have an outdoor patio for drinks and dining where dogs are welcome.

Conveniently located on Bridge Avenue just in front of the acclaimed Two River Theater, a 2 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk to the Count Basie Theatre. There is ample, free garage parking directly behind Triumph.

We had dinner before a show at the Count Basie theater, and it was a perfect way to spend 2 hours drinking and dining. It was a Thursday so there was live music, our server checked in on us but didn’t hover or rush us to leave, and the food and drinks were great. I had cocktails while my fiancé had beer, and we both enjoyed our drinks. We also enjoyed the food - pretzels, the turkey sandwich, and the fluke special, then blueberry peach pie for dessert.

We arrived for 5:30 reservations. The hostess informed us that the only tables available were communal tables with seating on a backless bench similar to a picnic table. In the alternative, we could sit at the bar. We opted for the bar because the bar stools had a backrest. The service at the bar was very slow. A bartender walked past us several times, spent time cleaning off the other end of the bar. Finally, another bartender came over, gave us menus and took our drink orders. After we got our drinks she disappeared. I finally called over another bartender and placed our food order. From that point on, the food arrived promptly, and the bartender was more attentive. The food was tasty, but we were very unhappy about our choice of seating and the slow service.

One of the worst meals I have had in Red Bank. Fish and chips was soggy and undercooked. Medium rare steak was well done. Desert was previously frozen and not fully thawed. Frankly embarrassed that I took friends there. Beer is great. Stop there.

Not enough staff to cover all the tables. 2 steaks requested medium came out purple raw. Plenty of hostesses standing around.

Love this place!! Especially if you are heading out in Red Bank. Only complaint, even WITH a reservation, we were seated at a huge table for 6/7 people! These "share" tables are the majority of what's available. This is not what my husband and I wanted for a romantic dinner. Eventually, mid dinner, the upstairs opened up and we were relocated. Much better! I so not want to sit with a group of strangers for date night!

My husband and I ate there this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. It was a beautiful night so we were able to sit at one of the outside tables which are in a lovely rustic area with an overhang and greenery. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. I had Prosecco which is served in the old school, 60's style coupe glass - very retro and my husband had one of the house made lagers, which he really liked. Our dinners were very good, we will definitely go back and may try a night when they have music, would be fun to check out a band while dining.
