Tricky's Restaurant and Bar is a great place to dine. Our large restaurant offers cosy corners for intimate diners as well as space to accommodate large parties. We have created a varied menu to cater for all tastes and budgets. From light lunchtime bites to a hearty three course meal and, there's plenty for the children enjoy as well!

Not to its usual high standards. The service has been, on every other visit, impeccable but not so last night, although in their defence, it was very busy. The atmosphere and ambience was spoilt by a very loud table of men who all appeared to be a little worse for wear, or maybe just hard of hearing, either way we couldn't hold a quiet conversation at our table because of them. The food that is normally top notch and has caused us to recommend the restaurant and indeed, recently bring guests along with us, was also not up to par at all last night. My wife's steak was tough and overcooked. (There is little point in asking someone how they would like their steak if the chef is not going to follow that instruction), and due to it being overcooked it was very tough. The meat in my Mexican Beef was also very chewy and overcooked. Either, we attended on the normal chefs night off, or the chef struggles to feed such great numbers, but below par standard on both meals. When asked by the server how was your meal, and the response was 'overcooked', the servers response really should be a little more than oh I'm sorry about that. I also got the same response from the chap at the till when I went up to pay

As usual another lovely meal. Staff are great and friendly and the price is reasonable. See you soon

Good food for the price but the cost of a dash of lemonade in a glass of wine...£1-40 absolutely ridiculous. Staff were excellent

We met with relatives that we had not seen for 23 years and we were all impressed with the food and value for money. As the others live in Cornwall they will now be coming back with friends soon. We will be back when we next visit. The owner/manager was very polite and friendly. Thank you for a lovely meal.

A very tasty lunch and great value. A busy lunch but Tricky's staff were amazing and added to the friendly atmosphere.
