Tribute is a unique restaurant located on the Halifax Waterfront. Defined not by a specific cuisine, but by a place - Nova Scotia - Tribute sources the best local ingredients to pay homage to authentic, impactful dishes with international influences, showcased through live fire and charcoal cookery in an open kitchen-to-dining room. With a fun and elevated approach to East Coast hospitality, Tribute is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, offering a chef’s tasting menu and wider options a la carte, paired with nimble wine and cocktail lists. Menus will change often to highlight seasonal ingredients from Nova Scotian farmers and producers.

Amazing food, service, cocktails and ambiance. Will definitely be going back! The pasta is incredible.

It was unique. 4 of us and we all ate something different and got to taste each others food. I will definitely go back, and try the tasting menu next time. My only issue was the lasagna. It was definitely overcooked. The top layer was border line burnt, but tasty. It’s energetic, the fibe is good, and amazing cocktails!

The halibut was exquisite. The taste was so pleasing. The sides were fresh and so delicious. The lasagna was very different in a wonderful way. Again so very fresh. Dessert sweet potato ball was like a celebration of flavour in the mouth! Loved the decor. The staff were so competent and vested in the restaurant. Chef Colin made his rounds to check in with clients. Cannot wait to go back!

Overall, it was a great experience. Arrived at 430, I didn't realize the restaurant wasn't open. They said they were not ready, obviously, so I went for a walk. As well walked past the restaurant, the lovely host came out and grabbed us to enjoy a cocktail inside. Cocktails were lovely, all the staff were lovely. Peter? Our server was fantastic, and the host, I can not remember his name, would be my first hire to host any of the restaurants I run. Everything was high-end, rich and elegant and not an ounce of stuffy, snobbish feeling - which I hate about most fine restaurants... great job, folks! No glass was ever empty. The food was superbly fresh and fast! For only being open 2 weeks, everything was perfect. I can't wait to see what this small, elegant little restaurant has in store.

Really enjoyed Tribute. Great atmosphere. Food was great with excellent presentation. Portion sizes for the mains were good with the exception of the Balanzoni. While delicious 5 small pieces seemed a bit on the light side. Wine selection was good and priced comparatively to other restaurants. Still working on getting their beer taps up and running. Overall, great first experience at a new restaurant. Would return!

An excellent dining experience. A well orchestrated menu with exceptional delivery. The open flame cooked steak Florentine was spectacular. The pasta reminiscent of the Netflix noodle series from where it originated. Ciao to Chef Colin. Bravissimo!

This place is pretty perfect. Food options for every palate. The food was delicious, well thought out and presented. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great vibe in the place. Will definitely return with friends and spread the word. Thanks for opening a solid contender for best resturant in the city.
