Depuis son ouverture en mai 2006, le Treadwell est devenu l'un des restaurants les plus réputés du Canada. Il est situé à Niagara-on-the-Lake et sa philosophie « de la ferme à la table » permet au chef et propriétaire Stephen Treadwell de mettre en valeur les meilleurs produits de saison de Niagara et du Sud-ouest de l'Ontario. La carte des vins, créée par le sommelier et propriétaire James Treadwell, comporte les meilleurs vins de l'Ontario.

    From the moment we were greeted until we left, our experience was exceptional. Our server Breyer was attentive, enthusiastic and extremely well-versed with each course and the finite details of the chef’s amazingly-curated dishes. The cuisine was well balanced and beautifully presented. The entire staff hummed seamlessly. Capping off our two night’s stay in Niagara on the Lake with dinner at Treadwell’s (had to make reservations well in advance) was the best call! Highly highly recommend!

    It was a cool, rainy all around miserable day in late June and I had my heart set on a fresh vegetable warm soup….instead it was a cold soup. A quick switch given the weather would have been smart. Also, the lobster sandwich in duck fat was cold and drenched in grease. Let’s just say it was better the next day when I reheated it in the pan, got rid of some of the grease and warmed it throughout. My husband’s pasta was excellent though…

    Lovely location in middle of town. Great service, extensive wine list. I ordered green salad, which was extremely tasty. Unfortunately the pork snitzel was not uniform in thickness. the thin part was overcooked and very dry. The thicker aspect was tender, juicy and excellent. Too full for dessert.

    The service was great as usual and this was my 5th time at Treadwell. I don't know if turnover in the kitchen is the reason, but the food was not good borderline bad. The majority of the food was ok, beautiful plating and the seasoning was ok. There were however a few absolutely terrible dishes. I have eaten a lot of Foie Gras but I have never seen Foie Gras with olive oil (a pool)used as a sauce. Just a recipe for heart attack. But probably the worst part was the steak(which was an extra $30). Nevermind the fact there was a pile of salt on top of the steak, it was already so salty I had one slice and had to send it back. They were kind enough to make a new steak for me, but this time it was covered in black pepper with a mountain (probably 15-20g) of salt on the side. Just disappointing. I had a few slices maybe 1/4 of the steak and lost my appetite. I was charged for both steaks (an extra $60) until I asked why and was then told that it was only for the one steak.

    As always, one of the best experiences around if not the best. High-quality food, high-quality drinks, high-quality service, and ambience. Unique culinary experience that never disappoints. My wife and I are very particular with our food and prep, and the Treadwell kitchen exceeds our expectations! Hats off to all - kitchen and crew. Here for our anniversary and was absolutely memorable!!

    There were 4 in our party and everyone had a great meal! I think my husband will be talking about the schnitzel for many years. I had the pasta with mushrooms and it was perfectly cooked. My sister in law had the had the salmon and loved it. Last was that salad that was perfect for lunch!! Definitely recommend
