Tre Scalini has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years . However, this dining experience was very disappointing. The pasta entree was fine, but my all-time favorite dish, which I almost always order, Vitello Alla Giuseppe, was terrible. The entire staff was different and the cook was definitely not their usual great chef. Hope it was just one bad night.

Consistently good food. We started with clams casino which I didn’t thrill over. The roasted peppers had skin and I’m not a fan of that. We both had fish dishes. My husband had the pappardelle with lobster and I had a white fish with a shrimp risotto. Both dishes were very good and very generous. Our server, Robin, is a love. We have had her on several occasions and she knows her stuff! A great family owned restaurant! AND they have valet parking! Certainly a plus on Wooster Street.

Food was delicious and portions were big—lots of to-go boxes. Specials were a great addition to the regular menu.

The service was excellent. The App, Calamaretti Fritti was very good , My wife’s, pappardelle al telefono was also excellent. Mine , Vitello Saltimboca, not so. The mozzarella was way overcooked to the hard point as was the prosciutto. The veal was fair. Overall a good restaurant.

Reservations were easy to make with OpenTable. Food was great. Waitress was patient with us while we were catching up on conversation and not placing our order.
