    Led by Chef Evan Funke, Tre Dita is Italian for "three fingers," and a nod to the precise thickness of a properly cut bistecca Fiorentina. The “cucina Toscana” serves antipasti, handmade pastas and a seasonal selection of steak and dishes from its wood-fired grill. Guests will enjoy sweeping views of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River and Navy Pier from 40 foot windows.

    Not sure why they let people reserve the bar. Completely separate and different experience than dining room. Wouldn’t recommend.

    absolute garbage veal saltimbocca. It was tough, too thick, and over-priced. When the waiter told the chef, he made a face in disgust. He should consider training in a NYC restaurant and learn to cook better, especially if you’re going to charge NYC prices (coming from a New Yorker). $700 for 5 people, even with a discount for the trash veal. At least we were warned to not get the steak.

    The gentleman, Louis, who will greet you at reception is certainly an indication of how lovely your experience will be. A finer fellow there is not. Drinks were proper and generous. The wine list is extensive and has something for all palates. Stuffed squash blossoms were the best appetizer I’ve had all year, and happily there were four to an order or I would have had to endure the indignity of ordering another. Pastas are produced in a lab that is visible to patrons and are served with many wonderful iterations. My chocolate dessert with cherries and another dish of pistachio gelato were bliss.

    Such a great dining experience. The biggest challenge is that they only book out 7 days in advanced and it is very difficult to book in the dining room. We opted to dine in the bar which was still excellent.
