Trattoria Zooma is now Trattoria Appia. We are the same ownership, team and location and continue to pursuit of the highest quality local and DOP Italian ingredients to prepare simply as our ancestors did. We serve Authentic Neapolitan recipes in a traditional, modern and casual atmosphere with seasonal "al fresco" outdoor dining and fresh house made pasta. Offering an extensive menu of award-winning wines that includes many exclusive selections and flights so you can enjoy an impromptu wine tasting anytime. Trattoria Appia is also available for private parties and corporate events with custom menus, wine lists and seating arrangements. We offer free WiFi and free valet parking.

Open 12 pm to 10 pm Wednesday through Sunday, 5 pm to 10 pm on Tuesday. Closed Monday. For parties larger than 6 please call us directly 401-383-2002 or email events@trattoriaappia.com to better accommodate and answer questions you may have.

It was difficult to get a reservation for Feb 15th, and now I know why there was availability here. Beautiful spot, but not worth the hassle of parking and cost of food. The valet said he had no availability, which is just unfortunate, it doesn't affect my rating. Drink service was a little slow and our waiter didn't inform us what dishes they were out of until we were ordering them. The pasta and shrimp dish that I ordered was just not good. I've never not finished a pasta dish, but this was overloaded with fish sauce and lemon, the tagliatelle was hard, and the shrimp was rubbery. My husband said his ossobuco was just all right. I tasted it and it was tender but bland. Hard to compete with the surrounding restaurants, and maybe we just went on a bad night, but we won't be back.

Food and drinks were good, asked for bread but never got it. If it’s a busy night don’t expect valet, arrived and was told they were full and I’d have to find my own parking.

So delicious! We had a very attentive waiter who was able to make sure that my gluten-free friend had no issues. We enjoyed our experience so much. The food was superb. We will be back!

My wife and I went for our anniversary, and the food was exceptional! On top of that, our waitress Gabrielle was the best, and brought us a beautiful dessert and expressos on the house, quite a nice finish to a great meal! The homemade pasta makes all the difference, and you have to try the meatballs, delicious!

We went to Trattoria Zooma for the first time during Providence Restaurant Week. Very impressive! The restaurant is beautifully decorated; understated and elegant. We thought the Restaurant Week menu was expansive and reasonably priced. Our party of 5 ordered Spaghetti Vongole, pizza Margharita, and chicken Marsala for entrees. Apps were uniformly delicious (caprese, insalatina mista, pasta fagioli, and calamari.) Service was attentive and not intrusive. A lovely luncheon experience. We’ll be back!

Very loud at 8 PM. Servers were overstretched and spilled three things while we were there, including glassware under the tables. The food was nothing special. We won’t be back.

Food and service were good. Restaurant week special was billed online as a free appetizer with an entree. However, when we ordered, the waiter said that it really meant one free appetizer for every FOUR entrees. Huh? Manager (Dom) came out to explain a second free appetizer could only be earned if we ordered SIX entrees! Really? “We’ll have a bowl of soup and six spoons, please.” And, the only shareable appetizer was excluded from the so-called special! I showed Dom what HE had evidently posted on the website and he said he could understand the confusion. Confusion? There was nothing confusing about the website; it was clear. Otherwise, it would have said a free appetizer with every four entrees, which of course sounds ridiculous. Very disappointed in the deceptive advertising and lack of integrity, and won’t be back.
