Trattoria Zooma is now Trattoria Appia. We are the same ownership, team and location and continue to pursuit of the highest quality local and DOP Italian ingredients to prepare simply as our ancestors did. We serve Authentic Neapolitan recipes in a traditional, modern and casual atmosphere with seasonal "al fresco" outdoor dining and fresh house made pasta. Offering an extensive menu of award-winning wines that includes many exclusive selections and flights so you can enjoy an impromptu wine tasting anytime. Trattoria Appia is also available for private parties and corporate events with custom menus, wine lists and seating arrangements. We offer free WiFi and free valet parking.

Open 12 pm to 10 pm Wednesday through Sunday, 5 pm to 10 pm on Tuesday. Closed Monday. For parties larger than 6 please call us directly 401-383-2002 or email events@trattoriaappia.com to better accommodate and answer questions you may have.

Horrible service received during 2024 Christmas Eve dinner. We ordered the Dinner Special ‘Feast of Seven Fishes’ which has 3 Courses (1st Course of appetizer, soup; 2nd Course; and lastly Main Course). The 1st Course was served in a timely manner. Sadly, the calamari was way TOO SALTY and dried up. The lobster bisque was served on a curved plate and only a had a only 2-3 spoonfuls of the actual bisque. Then it just became downhill. We were made to wait 40 minutes for the 2nd Course to arrive on our table. It was an arugala salad and 4 SMALL pieces of scallops! It does not take long to make a salad and sear scallops! My partner was an executive chef for many years in NYC and Northern NJ and this was just absolutely an unacceptable wait time. The 3rd Course was spaghetti with mussels, clams and salmon. Fortunately enough it made its way to our table. We didn’t think we could wait for it after the delay of the 2nd Course. The really annoying part of this experience is that our server never checked on table until the end to give us a check. He was too busy with his coworker at the bar taking selfies of themselves to post on social media. Mind you he kept passing by looking over — knowing that it’s been 40 minutes — and our 2nd course hadn’t been served. He was literally also avoiding patrons still not having received their orders for some reason. By simply checking in and letting us know that the kitchen staff was backed up would’ve been an assurance of the delay. I’m pretty sure we’re not the only ones who will be posting negative reviews on their Christmas Eve service. We were looking forward to visiting this place when we made the 7:00 pm reservation. But the service just destroyed it. So BOO to the “new” conversion to Trattoria Appia. My advice that if you stumble on this restaurant — only order pizza. Do not order anything else listed on their menu.

Very good meal! Had to leave early for a show, our waitress gave us a limoncello and an espresso in addition to our meals to go..so sweet! Had a great meal! TY!

First time coming here and we were very impressed. The food was delicious, service was amazing, and atmosphere was awesome. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The hardest part of our night was pronouncing the names of each dish! They were extremely accommodating as I indicated this was a special reservation for my anniversary. We will be going back again and requesting Gabrielle, who was fantastic.

No heat? Space heaters everywhere. Broken frother. A tired, unkept restsrsunt not worth your time and money. Food subpar and overpriced. Advertise “Sunday brunch” but was not available at 12:30 ??

Gianni was fantastic. Homemade pasta is the way to go. Get the pizza as an app for the table.

The food and drinks were outstanding. Where we were slightly disappointed was our experience with the food runner /junior waitstaff who was clearly not paying attention. He had one earbud (beats, not a hearing aid/amplification device) in for the majority of the service, delivered another table’s food to us- and spilled a good portion of the sauce on our table. I feel like the more senior waiter had to spend a lot of energy cleaning up his messes (literally and figuratively) and was spread too thin. The waiter did comp our appetizer which we were grateful for. We came to celebrate my mom’s bday and even put it in the notes, but it wasn’t acknowledged, even after I mentioned it again :(

Had to dine with jackets on…freezing. Server was amazing. Food was what we expected but the restaurant was so cold it was difficult to enjoy it.
