Trattoria Valona is a family owned and operated BYO Italian restaurant located at the Victorian Village Shops within the Horsham Willow Grove area of Hatboro. We offer a comforting dining experience by using the freshest ingredients daily to provide our guests with the classics of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine along with a modern take on our daily chef specials. This has become our new go to place. Food was great. Service spot on. Nice to be greeted by the owner who personally came over twice to chat with us during our dinner. The perfect byob. Be back again soon.

Food is consistently delicious and presented well. Staff is friendly and attentive. Owner routinely checks in with each table. Always a great place for nice dinner.

We had dinner at Valona on Saturday night and it was very good. It’s all about the sauce. If you are Italian you know what I mean. We went to Italy last year. Since then every Italian restaurant has been slightly disappointing, but not Valona… it was really good. Unexpected as this was our first time. It is a small place in an unassuming little storefront. But the experience was great. Owner came over to say hello and talk about the food, very nice touch. We will go back for sure.

This was our first time here, and our experience was exceptional! Our server, Faye was amazing - she was so courteous, kind, bubbly and fun. I felt like she really wanted to be there, and she definitely made the experience that much better. We started with the caprese salad - which was so fresh and big! My husband got the Caesar salad and said it was also good! For dinner - he got the chicken parm, and I got the special - which was halibut, with potatoes and carrots, and it was incredible. It comes with a red sauce and I asked if they could just do it with butter since I never had halibut before and they said it was no problem, and it was fantastic. For dessert - my husband got tiramisu and a coffee and I got the cherry vanilla gelato which was so good! The atmosphere was cozy, and the noise was low so it was a very enjoyable experience. We didn’t feel rushed, and we felt a good vibe overall from all of the staff, and we will definitely be back. We already made another reservation to come back here because we liked it that much! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience!

Food was very good and the service was excellent however the food and salad portions were a bit small, and the complimentary bread was just average. We were told the salad was very large (big enough to split) but when it came to the table it looked like a half portion but the server said that’s the whole salad that we were supposed to split. That was disappointing especially when the price was $16. I could have easily eaten the whole salad myself. Also on the menu where some appetizers and entrees include pistachios or walnuts, I assumed there would be whole pistachios or walnuts but it looked like there weren’t any nuts in the dishes. The manager explained that the nuts in fact were in the dish, but they were finely ground. In all fairness, he did bring some more ground nuts to the table but I really was expecting whole nuts or chunks of nuts….not minced nuts. Overall, I had the impression that they were skimping on the food & appetizer portions vs other typical Italian restaurants where you rarely are able to finish your meals. Although we enjoyed the taste of the food, I don’t think we will return.

From the greeting by the owner Leon to our server Faye to an outstanding meal, it was a wonderful experience. We definitely will be returning!

Food was excellent. Great variety to pick from on the menu. Wait staff was outstanding. Describing the specials. Answering all questions. Was our first time there but will be back.

Love Trattoria Valine. The Lobster Gnocci amazing…… I love the ambiance- Victoria our service is terrific had her a few times. Definitely will continue going!

Great spot for a date night out. We had the arancini to start and then the scallop risotto and shrimp scampi, all were delicious. The desserts were great as well. The staff was awesome also, we will definitely be back.
