Trattoria Toscana in Temecula, California serves up an authentic Italian experience. High-quality food and wine are important to the people who work there, and you can be sure to find excellent service. Chef Pietro selects local organic ingredients to create daily specials, as well as importing ingredients from Italy to ensure authenticity. All our pasta is made fresh, in-house - Gnocchi, Linguine, Pappardelle, Rigatoni, Bucatini, Spaghetti and more!

The décor is charming with a full dining room, full bar, and outdoor garden patio with a wood oven for authentic Italian wood fired pizza.

    Good food, i recommend the wild boar lasagna. Ambiance was nice, server polite and hostess sat us right away with our reservation. I will try this place again. Meat balls were ok, not much flavor, pasta was delicious. Pasta Tasted like it might be homemade. It was a Sunday at 515. Nice place I recommend it for sure.

    Our reservation was for 8:45pm, but we stood at the door waiting behind two other couples for a good 15 minutes before the hostess finally came out to seat us. Our appetizers—meatballs—were served on a piping hot plate but were completely cold, so I’m assuming they were microwaved. They were also very dry, so we left most of them on the plate. The entrees were just okay. The boar lasagna was fine (and at least was hot), but the pollo allo limon was very dry and the “seasonal vegetables” were cold, undercooked carrots, a few zucchini, and limp peppers. Again, we left much of it on our plates. Our waiter, who was utterly wonderful throughout, asked if we’d like boxes to go. When we said no, he asked if everything had been okay. We said yes, because whatever was going on in the kitchen was not his fault, and it was so late we didn’t want anything else, nor did we trust that the kitchen could make anything better, so we just left.

    Resies at 7, seated at 7:45 and then our waiter forgot about us. Needed to flag down two other servers to order dinner. Food at 9. The food was super tasty, but the service was a little brutal.

    We love the food and live music, but the service was awful. Our server came to our table 3 times over a 21/2 hour period and we waited over an hour and a half for our food. We asked for bread and never received it, and we asked her to add an entre (catching her as she was walking by) about an hour and a half into our evening and we ended having to wait over an hour and after we paid to receive it in a to go box. The server also added on a 20% tip to our two party bill. In my opinion she didn't even deserve 10% of a $200 bill. She wasn't friendly, or attentive at all.

    Server missed bringing us our salads, up charge for spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs tased horrible, noodles were way over cooked. Bill for 4 was over $400 with no desserts, couple beside us complained about their food as well. Stated they wouldn’t be going back. Honestly don’t know where they got 4 stars on Yelp…

    Went there for my birthday .. made a reservation and was greeted at the door promptly. We were seated in a booth in a quiet area which was nice. Asked the waitress about recommending a full bodied red and she wasn’t familiar and asked another waitress . Recommend a local wine that was ok but not what I was looking for. We ordered the caprese salad the mozzarella was fresh so we were excited. We also ordered calamari and those we nice but lacking a tad a seasoning. Next we wanted to order our main course and I asked what she recommended and she recommended the carbonara risotto which I was excited for and my husband the chicken parm . Waitress came back 10 min later saying they didn’t have the risotto which was disappointing so I ordered a special of the day potato ravioli with sage butter sauce . Food came and the parm had been sitting waiting on my dish due to the original cancelation and mine was just bland and nothing to talk about . Waitress never asked if I wanted a wine refill or how I liked my wine . We will not be going back very disappointing.

    Valentine's Day Special was more like a Valentines Day Massacre. I paid $260 to either stand outside in the cold or in a cramped waiting space big enough for maybe 4 people. Since my wife and I decided to wait outside the skipped us several times to be seated. When we finally sat down we were never asked to order drinks. We were told they were already out of certain deserts. It wouldn't have bothered me if I hadn't already prepaid but I would like to at the bare minimum be able to choose what I paid for. Service was non existent. Orders that weren't ours were constantly brought to our table. The food was incredibly poor. The "Waygu" steak was a thin 1/4 in skirt steak that had some balsamic glaze ontop. Steak wasn't trimmed and fat was everywhere. If it was a real Waygu steak pretty sure it would have rendered down way more. The gispacho soup was over salted and not good. Our waitress was overworked and never gave us any attention. She was robotic and not at all warming. I don't blame her at all. It wasn't her fault. It was management. The manager in a pink jacket seemed to be disoriented and lost and muddled in frustration. We checked in with her upon arrival but just looked at my name on the waiting list and did absolutely nothing with it. She acknowledged me and then said we would be seated in about 15 minutes and then walked away. When they had already passed over us several times for our seat, we walked back into the waiting room for the manager to already forget who we were. She asked the room who was next and it took me and another couple to say something about us being skipped over. The servers were trying but honestly giving the barest of efforts in part due to the disorganization from management. The food just wasn't good... at all. Nothing felt authentic and the atmosphere seemed to be about filling the seats and getting the $260 out of "customers" and not much else. The flower they tossed on my table was already dead.

    Very disorganized was sat 15 min late. The advertised Wagyu was not Wagyu, more like a real low quality rib eye. Each course took 45 min to receive.

    We've been going to this restaurant for 5 years. It never disappoints us. The food is great the service is good, and the owner and chef Pietro is always giving personal attention to all customers. You can also bring our own wine, and you only pay a very decent corkage fee. We'll keep going to Trattoria Toscana for as long as we live in the Temecula valley area. GM
