We love Trattoria Sophia but the last few months the service is not good the new manager need to check on that. The pasta always has been al dente but now is like gummy not good. I know they can do better because is a good restaurant and beautiful inside.

Trattoria Sofia is a 10/10 dining experience in the heights! Came in for NYE, bit of a wait due to the holiday but once seated the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and timely. The calamari was delicious and the chefs board is amazing with a lot of options on the board. The plates are fufilling and the pasta tastes homemade. Everything is crafted beautifully and it’s always a delicious time dining at Trattoria Sofia. The best place in the heights!

We went for NYE, so I’ll give them some slack as it was very busy. The servers were very kind and attentive. The bread basket was about 6 hours too stale. I’m aware European-style bread is not the hot, doughy rolls we are used to in the US, but this was a little too cold and hard even for European style. The burrata Y prosciutto was bland and just ok and I found it odd that it was not served with any type of bread (unless you separately ordered the bread basket). The best thing we had all night was the grilled escarole salad with added salmon. That was absolutely delicious although the salmon was overcooked. But I can deal with that. My husband got the Frutte di Mare pasta special, which was not authentic in my opinion. The sauce was much too buttery and tomatoey, and was not the authentic light wine – based sauce you would find on the coast of California. I found it to be a bit overpriced in total.

I made New Year’s Eve reservations about a month ago and we arrived we had to wait almost an hour before we were seated. The hostess who seated our party of two (2) took us to a temporary table for a party of four (4). However, there was a small booth available for two that I asked if we could be seated at, but the hostess became obstinate and provided many fictions reasons why we could not be seated there.. Finally, she talked to a manager who said there was no reason why we could not sit there. The hosted guided us to our table and proceeded to scowl at us while she presented the menus. Not a pleasant experience for a meal that I spent $200 for two!

A phenomenal dining experience. We had a great waiter and the whole menu sounded amazing. The sea bass and lamb Raghu were memorable. The beet salad was delicious. The atmosphere was good, if a little louder. Great place for date night!

Excellent food and ambiance. Patio is where you should sit next to the olive tree. Will serve halal meat if ordered 48 hours in advance

The service during this visit fell short of expectations. The server was not attentive and didn’t provide menu specials provided to others during the ordering process. While I’ve dined here many times and typically had excellent experiences, this time was disappointing. The server didn’t check on us after our food arrived, and we experienced long waits to place our order and to receive the bill. While we remained patient, understanding it was Christmas Eve, the overall experience didn’t meet the usual high standards of this establishment.

Was there for Christmas Eve dinner and the place was packed. The team did a great job of managing the surge. Except for being out of the lamb that one of us ordered, everything was delicious.

Food and flavors were delicious. Had iced tea with my meal, the server brought me the first glass and never came back to refill my glass,!thankfully I had water. Asked for a cup of coffee with my dessert never brought creamer for my coffee and the packages of sugar were wet. I enjoyed my meal but don’t think I’ll be going back.
