We had dinner last night at Funistrada. It was excellent. The food was delicious and the service could not have been better. I had the veal saltimbocca and my wife had the eggplant parmigiana. Both were the best we have ever had. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcomed. We wish this restaurant was closer to Suttons Bay so we could dine there more often. We will be back soon.

Superb food and Lydia was a superb server... the neighbor is a real asshat however, I thought it was parking and pulled in for a brief second and started pulling out when my friend said, oops there's a sign! He ran over started waiving his arms and yelling at us. Chill bud, we made a mistake:) Then he said, obviously you're from Chicago! What is this supposed to mean? I love Chicago🤷‍♀️ Nope... born and raised here, even have a road with my name on it😂😜😜😜 Love Funistrada! Just don't go near the neighbor❤️

We had a very nice first time experience. I found the popularity of this restaurant a little unsettling as I had to take a 5 pm seating in spite of the reservation being made a month in advance. We were seated near the bar but it was no problem to be reseated when I asked. The dining area is quite small and as I expected, it was loud when full. Our food was terrific, the veal satimbocca impeccably prepared and the service attentive without being intrusive. This restaurant is about the food, which is expected at this price point. The atmosphere was jovial and friendly as many affluent local vacationioners filled the cozy space. There isn't much to criticize here, the formula has been very successful for many years now--delicious elevated italian cuisine with great service at a price that is fair with all things considered.

Simply wonderful meal--excellent service, delicious food and wine in a wonderful bistro atmosphere. Felt like the kind of place you want to be a regular.

Our favorite eatery in leelanau county. Wonderful staff, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Chicken saltimbocca is tender, delicious and ample left overs to enjoy next day. Hubby had the NY strip, tasty but not as tender as our last visit. Large portion, half came home with us. He said it was a little chewy and I noticed a little scrap pile of fatty parts on his plate. Wonderful fresh salad, warm crusty bread with delicious dipping oil and spices. The side of pasta that comes with the meal is generous and delicious. We took home cannolis, the best ever! Love Funistrada, we will be back.

Our food and service were both outstanding! My husband had the penne and sausage in spicy marinara and I had the eggplant Parmesan. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus appetizer was also delicious. Liz, our server , was very attentive!
