Enjoy European-style cuisine in the Main Dining Room of the Trapp Family Lodge. Open for breakfast and dinner, this expansive, wood-paneled room offers a relaxed, gourmet dining experience complemented with attentive service and beautiful mountain views. Enjoy farm to table ingredients, some of which are raised and harvested right here on our property. Dinner is served in the main dining room and the lounge from 5-9pm nightly. Outdoor patio seating is available seasonally and is weather dependent. On Friday and Saturday nights, the Lounge which offers a relaxed bar setting and an upscale tap room menu is open until 10pm.

Join us for a candlelit dinner in the Main Dining Room or a more casual affair in the Lounge both situated high up on Trapp Hill allowing the perfect view to see the sun set below the mountains. Reservations are required.

Wherever you are in Vermont, it’s worth the drive up to the Von Trapp Lodge. This restaurant serves the finest in German and Bavarian cuisine. Excellent views of the Green Mountains and wonderful historical exhibits belonging to the Von Trapp family. Service is stiff but efficient. Highly recommended!

Located in the main lodge, easy to get to from lodge rooms. Ambiance superlative; Austrian design, great views through big picture windows, service attendants dressed in Austrian style. Live piano music, servcie and food excellent.

We had a most amazing Sunday brunch breakfast at a very reasonable cost. From our host Tim to our waitress Khelsie, they made our rainy weekend stay a bit brighter. The food quality and variety exceeded expectations. The staff was very attentive and quick to act positively when a glass unexpectedly exploded and broke in Khelsie's hand. They all pitched in and within minutes you would have never known anything had happened and more importantly Khelsie was not injured badly and we're glad she was okay. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you all!

Fabulous dinner! Everything from the salad (wonderful lemon vinaigrette dressing) to the Wiener schnitzel was excellent! Best Weiler schnitzel I’ve had since I lived in Germany! Ambience is great .. we will be returning!

The buffet was wonderful with something for everyone! Make sure to try the maple butter on toast or waffles with real maple syrup! My favorite were the scrambled eggs! Yum!

The host said I didn’t have a reservation, despite me showing him the email confirmation of the reservation from OpenTable. He then said I must have just made it, even though it was made a week prior, which showed on the email. He seated us at a particular table, and told us the buffet was in the Salzburg room, without directing us where that was. We sat there a couple minutes, and a waitress came and told us we needed to move because another party was already seated there, and they’d return from the buffet momentarily. We moved to the next table back, even farther from the windows. One of us stayed at the table while the others went to the buffet, to prevent the host from making that mistake again with another party at our table. The food was fine. The host was not very good. I’m unsure what the point was of making a reservation a week in advance (through the link in an email I received from the lodge, recommending advance reservations), when it didn’t show on the host’s list.

A plesureable experience. We enjoyed the piano. Service was Excellent. The meals were delicious. The portions were satisfying. The cost was competitive.

Had a lovely meal. Jean was our server and she went well out of her way to ensure we had a great experience. The food was delicious and the wine delightful. Piano music in the background, wonderful views. We so enjoyed ourselves!
