Trani’s Dockside, is a new waterside restaurant launched by one of the port town’s best known restaurant families. The restaurant was able to hold a soft grand opening on May 16, the 98th anniversary of the opening of the original Trani’s Majestic Cafe that opened in 1925 in downtown San Pedro.

Food was wonderful, a bit pricey but we all loved what we ordered…sea bass, mushroom gnocchi and fish and chips plus anchovy toast, Calamari, squash blossoms. Dessert was very small; Neapolitan ice cream. What I was pleased most about was more sound baffling had been installed. Before, we had to yell into the ear of the person next to us to talk and our ears rang for the rest of the night but now with a table of 4 we could talk without yelling yay! I think even more sound baffling can be applied to make it even more comfortable! A nice evening out!

Great food as usual. Worst service I have had at Trani's maybe that they were understaffed, but thinking is is more... Hopefully just a bad day..

Scallops on the half self, and some additional small plates are enough to be filling but not stuffed. Nice bar to relax at over a few drinks.

Trani's Dockside continues to be my San Pedro favorite. Food is delicious and the staff very attentive and kind. Best place to dine in Pedro without a doubt.

The food was delicious - everything was great. I would recommend the Peruvian scallops and the Spanish anchovy bread as musts. Drinks well made and tasty. Got the Apple crumble for dessert and it was not too sweet and perfect. Very friendly and quick service. We will come back!

If you love salt you will be happy. Nothing was bad but a bit clunky ( e.g. delicate ceviche was served with oversized thick taco shells) and just not all that tasty. Decor, ambience, and service were all lovely and the support of a local chef feels right- Trani just needs to up his game.

I had requested a nice table for two for dinner on Father’s Day. We were seated at a great window table, service was immediate ( even though restaurant was full), and cocktails quickly ordered. We ordered the grilled calamari appetizer, sautéed greens, starter size lamb meatballs for me and Mediterranean swordfish for my husband. All Delish!! Enjoyed crumbled apple something dessert with gelato. Terrific! Service, ambience and quality of good excellent!

As good as any restaurant in town. Outstanding. The food is delicious and the drinks are fantastic. Can’t say enough good things. Eaten here twice and already looking forward to going back soon. The first time I had the swordfish and the second time I had the linguine with clams and calamari. Both were out of this world. Thank you!
