I had made a booking with a chargeable cancellation fee. I specifically wanted the afternoon tea, but the website did not make it clear that this is only available on weekends. When I arrived and found this out, I was unable to cancel my booking without a fee.

We booked for my mums birthday (4 adults and 2 kids). The service from the start wasn’t great, we were given a table outside (we asked for outside) but a small table for 4 with 2 chairs added to the end - looking around the table behind us (2 adults 4 kids) had a longer table (3 square tables stuck together were ours was 2) so I politely asked if we can have another table added as it wouldn’t be enough space for our food, the waitress said it’s not possible due to other bookings and the manager for some reason thought we had extended our booking to 8 - anyways after a bit of hassle the manager bought us another table and also a glass of bubbly for my mum which was nice. As we ordered our food I asked if the children’s meal ( Spaghetti Bolognese) for my daughter could be given separately and not mixed with the sauce, waitress said ok and then continued to bring a bowl full of sauce and mixed in spaghetti, she then can back and said the chef refuses and would charge us extra if has to do this request so by this point we’re ready to just leave. ( I do understand menu requests are always available but there is normally flexibility for a child and also if you can charge for it then it is possible….) It was then another manager came out and straight away said she’s sorted it the chef will do the kids meal (no charge) and also gave the kids free juices / bought a cake out for my mum singing happy birthday so I have to say I really appreciated her and I think she absolutely saved the day (she is the reason for any stars given) Also another point is the reason we booked here was the kids table which was a bit disappointing in the fact it was in a room at the back of hotel away from the dining room - I had expected it to be on a table in the dining area so the kids easily could go back and forth from our table.. so I don’t think it was very clear on booking. The food was nice - I probably would not go back.

Four of us went there for lunch following a Hot Dinners offer of 30% off food and drink. We shared olives, octopus, focaccia and prosciutto di San Daniele to start with. Two of us had the sea bream and risotto and pappardelle with boar for the other two. Between us we shared the pistachio tiramisu (one of the best I had for a long time) and the panna cotta. A bottle of Molino A Vento Fiano and double espressos - a total of £165 including service. Excellent value for the quality of the food. The service was excellent and the ambiance very pleasant indeed.

Really enjoyed the set menu. Authentic Italian food. Good portions and all delicious. Attentive staff who gave good advice to help us choose.

Staff were rude, seemed annoyed we were there despite having a booking. Eggs were overcooked. Food arrived long before the drinks did and they forgot one of them.

Lovely spot at Battersea and we had a nice window booth. Food excellent and cocktails very well made. We loved everything about it and would return.

We came for a late lunch and the restaurant was very quiet despite this service was very slow and we had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. When we did have our order taken the waitress didn't seem very aware of what was available having to go and check a few times when each one of us requested something. Two of our group requested the afternoon tea and were told this had to be pre-ordered. When booking this table there was no mention of afternoon tea needing pre-booking nor did it state this on the menu. That being said, the waitress spoke to the chef who accommodated our request. This was greatly appreciated. The afternoon tea was thoroughly enjoyed, and it was commented on that it was refreshing to have an alternative one to the usual English Afternoon Tea. The other dishes ordered on our table were enjoyed. A couple of negative points - our table was never offered a second round of drinks and never offered the option of desserts. As the service was so slow and it was very hard to catch one of the few people working, we made the decision to leave without having anything else. Where we were sat was also very cold due to quite a strong draught - I believe this was coming from the double doors leading to the hotel? Overall, we enjoyed our food, and would recommend the afternoon tea, just other details which let the experience down.

A lovely place on the ground floor. Set menu was reasonably priced and delicious. 2 starter options were salads and you could see these being made fresh at the open station. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals with clear plates all round. Service was very professional. Was a very enjoyable lunch and would recommend as a lovely place to eat.

We were looking for an afternoon tea with a difference and as lovers of Italy Tozi looked like a good option. It did not disappoint with three generous of savoury and sweet items to share. The lower layer had outstanding cured meats and cheeses along with vegetables on focaccia and prosciutto and mozzarella on ciabatta. The Sardinian bread was a nice touch. Next up was the middle layer of four Maritozzi, light brioche filled with jam and cream, a favourite in Rome. We were defrated by these and took two home! Cannoli, choux and heavenly Valhorona chocolate tarts were a great ending. Salah and the team made us very welcome in smart surroundings and a mixed clientele including children - the Italian way.
