Bringing a touch of French flair to Kennington, Toulouse Lautrec Restaurant, Piano Bar & Jazz Club is a traditional restaurant set inside a lovingly refurbished English pub. Managed by three brothers, jazz club manager, Nolan & Chef Florent, whose parents have run the neighbouring “Lobster Pot” restaurant since 1991, so there is plenty of authentic French charm on offer served by people who love what they do. Set over three floors, the warm and inviting space is divided into a rustic ground floor restaurant, 1st floor piano bar with jazz solos & duos and 2nd floor Jazz Club, which hosts the bigger bands at weekends.

When you exit the station, turn right and cross the main road, we are 5 minute walk at the traffic lights. Buses stopping outside are 155, 133, 333, 415, 196. Use bus stop 'Newington Butts'.

There is no reserved seating in the jazz club and it is first come first serve. Please allow up to 2 hours to dine before the music.

    Went on a quiet bank holiday afternoon and loved this place. The food was excellent with delicious classic French dishes and we were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely go back to sample the piano bar and jazz club one evening

    This was a great find - authentic French rustic food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Just round the corner from the Southwark Playhouse, Elephant

    My mother took us (myself, my husband, and a close friend , to TL as a surprise and we had a truly lovely time. This cozy French restaurant has great service and good food. The live piano music we could hear coming from the jazz bar upstairs added to the ambience. The private dining room we were in was intimate and comfortable and didn't feel too cut off from the rest of the place. The service was attentive but subtle, so none of that " is everything ok " every 5 minutes. Classic Parisian Bistro dishes, well cooked, so no complaints. They also served a perfect rare steak - which was good, as some/many places chicken out of serving anything even slightly pink, so Bravo there. All in all a lovely place to eat with friends and family.

    Toulouse Lautrec Restaurant & Jazz Club. Dinner with friends June 2023. This local, Elephant and Castle restaurant never fails to deliver. Excellent food and service. Highly recommended.

    Excellent service. Dined at 6pm so not busy. I had goats cheese salad delicious cheese but disappointing salad few lettuce leaves and 1 piece of tomato. Could have added things to make this dish more exciting.

    Very small inside - the food was lovely. I think I over dressed it was a special occasion but I think you do not have to dress up too much casual works.
