The lobster and shrimp pasta special was mediocre at best. The bluefin tuna entree was exceptional. My wife ‘s octopus was also slightly above average, but lacked seasoning. There are far better less expensive restaurants in D.C.

Everything about our dinner was phenomenal. Truly. The service was beautifully orchestrated, the waiters and sommelier were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, but without being the least bit intrusive. We opted for the chef's tasting menu (we enjoyed that the chef came out to speak to us), and it was one of the best meals of my life. Every bite was unimaginably good. The wine pairing was superlative, including a Brunello di Montalcino.

I have been dining at Tosca for more than 20 years, and I always liked the very Italian type of food. Coming back after a two-year break, I found the food has moved far away from the Italian tastes I came for. The special starter salad had an overbearing taste of sweet corn, something hard to find in Italy. The special pasta was very watery with no complexity. Again, not even close to what I would expect as an Italian taste. The dessert was listed as Tiramisu on the menu - but at best it was a Tiramisu inspired dessert. The waiter told us that Tosca has a new Michelin Star chef from New York. Nothing we got this time deserved a star, and it is sad to see that Tosca has drifted out of Italy. A name change is overdue. We won't come back. One good point: The wine list is still great with an excellent selection of Italian wines.

Lovely restaurant. Our service was outstanding. Martinis perfect. Wine service great. Dinner was lovely, I am a bit of a risotto snob, it was good not outstanding. I only mention that because everything else was fabulous. That being said, wish I had more nights to go back and try the Tasting Menu.

The wine list is excellent!!! The pasta is fresh and the sauces are delicate in flavor. True Italian.

Best service I’ve ever had, all staff were incredibly attentive and anticipated every need. Food was delicious and the seafood was generously abundant and delicious with the pasta. We were thrilled with this choice and highly recommend
