Tosca historically has been a great place to go for good food and wine. Friday night was not their normal standard. Shrimp cocktail was good, not enough cocktail sauce, beet salad was good with the light dressing on the greens but the yellow beets were severely overcooked. The prime rib eye special was not worth $65. The meat was choice or select at best. Did not get cooked to the med rare we asked for and my husband had to have his go back because it was all fat and stringy throughout and was virtually raw. Mine was a little more cooked but was rare as well. We eat rib eye all the time and these steaks did not look like rib eyes. I only buy prime when I purchase it and these were not prime. I was hungry and ate what I could off it and the reason was because the waitress didn't come and check on us for about 10 minutes after we were served. My husband was trying to find something good about it in these 10 minutes. The shallot butter that came on the rib eyes was not melted and was just a clump of butter on the steak. They also added a brown sauce but it should've been one or the other, not both. Too much trying to be fancy and adding truffle and mushrooms and all kinds of things to a nice steak but it didn't work. Keep steak as steak with salt and pepper. There was not much appealing on the menu. Go back to basics with add-ons if people want them. Not everyone likes truffles, mushrooms, broccoli rabe and all that stuff.. keep it simple. When you offer prime steak at $65, make sure the steak is prime and cooked perfectly. Whoever cooked the steaks Friday evening should be changed to a different station. I will go back again in a few months and I do hope it's better. It's always been a great place to go so I don't know if they had a change in staff or what but I can cook better than what I was brought and so looked forward to a great night out with my family. It was an utter flop and I was so disappointed!

Always a great dining experience. Chef Kevin never disappoints! We highly recommend dining with Kevin and his amazing team when in the Suffield area!

Food was excellent with great ambience - Olivia was the best server we ever had there. Only issue is we wanted more bread and they said it was an up charge. It’s only 3 slices of bread. Was very disappointing but we love it there but would not get the bread

Food was great, salads were a bit odd, like an upside down salad, but they were good. We asked the waitress if they were large enough to split, she gave the impression they were not that big but they were quite large, we would have split one.

Tosca is a culinary treasure. The presentation of food is beautiful as each mouthwatering bite is matched with flavor that can only come from high quality, fresh, and local ingredients. The staff are professional and attentive! I love dining here…
