Pros: the view is 5 stars. Also it is pretty clean. Cons: 1) had a 11:45am reservation. We arrived at 11:35am and they told us lunch was not served until noon. Why would we be able to have an 1145 reservation if the kitchen is not open till 12? Upon looking at the board in the lobby with information, it said the restaurant opens at 11:30. Strike 1 for communication/ reservation issues. 2) waiter didn't come over until 12:05. Ordered drinks and apps. Beer was cold but wine was warm (Strike 2). Waited 15 more minutes for apps and waiter wasn't back for longer (a runner brought food). Our 2 apps should have been warm (meatballs and baked goat cheese). Both were Luke warm / to cold. For example, the goat cheese was COLD in the center (Strike 3). We saw numerous people get up and leave due to lack of Service. Negative Honorable mention was the fact that there's no kids menu. For an expensive hotel that has a game room and a pool and seems to cater to families you should have a kids menu during at least lunch. If you are going to be a high-end hotel and if your menu is going to be super expensive you need to meet that expectation with service and quality of food. Left after apps as it wasn't worth it to us. Place has a ton of potential that isn't being met. Disappointing as we had high hopes.

Seemed understaffed. Servers were working hard but hard to come by. Breakfast took an hour and was cold. We asked for coffee refills and was told it was brewing but no one ever came back. Probably would not return even if staying at the hotel. The convenience and view was outweighed by the underwhelming experience.

We discovered the spot where we'll be tying the knot!!! It's absolutely amazing - from the stunning views of the bay, to the delicious food, entertaining activities, and the overall vibe. So excited to return here!

A lovely setting. But it took 1 hour to get 2 salads. Our server was great and kept us in good spirits!

Waiter needs more training in customer service. We waited 30 minutes for him to take our order and he had the nerve to say we didn't let him know we were ready to order.

They were understaffed. Our waitress was very nice, but management must staff properly. Many folks were complaining.

Great spot for a drink and cozy fireplace. Watched the fireworks over the bridge.

My wife and I spent our time at the firepits, so we can't speak on any other venues at the resort. Other than the setting/ambiance, which was very nice, and the chocolate chip cookie cake, which was delicious, I'd have to say we were less than impressed. The drinks were mediocre at best and the other food we had was not good, to put it kindly. Everything was dramatically overpriced as well, in my opinion. Our server was kind but very slow and often would disappear for long periods of time, leaving us to wait to order anything else. All in all, it wasn't the worst experience we've had but, we will not be returning.

I never take the time to leave reviews but had to make this to save other people from the hassle. Not worth the distance from the main city of Newport. No views of the ocean were accessible as advertised on the website. Firepit seating does not have a table for your food so don’t choose that for dinner, just drinks. Service was the slowest I have ever had, my party of 5 waited an hour and a half just for our drinks. Forget about appetizers and food, that was another hour later. Food is not worth the price point. I would only eat here if I was staying at the hotel.

Our server Jolie was the highlight of the evening. Her attention to our grand children was exceptional. Overall a wonderful evening
